🚀 I’ve been quietly working on Vatly with the Sandorian team for a while and I am now super excited 🙀 we're actually going to launch.
Selling #SaaS worldwide sounds great - until you hit the compliance overhead involved.
We built Vatly to solve this.

@simonhamp @github LOL.. just checked mine and noticed my „free“ tier costs 100$ a year and started on April this year. WTF @github ?
English

Excuse me @github but, um, I don't recall selecting the option to pay for the next 325 years in advance

Have been working on this for a while. The rewrite was heavily inspired by Saloon docs.saloon.dev
I hope you like it.

@aarondfrancis I use cursor as default IDE. Still need to figure out how it fits in my workflow, but so far it works great for things like increasing test coverage and general POCs. I have to jump in and clean stuff up afterwards, but if it can get me unstuck it’s worth it IMO.

This is why I don't want to use one of those AI editors.
AI can be great at solving discrete problems, but not so great at system or architectural thinking.

Cursor makes me mad Trying to fix one issue with cursor introduces 10 other issues. My codebase became super dirty because of my laziness. I‘ll spent some time to clean up some debt in the coming weeks.

@DmytroKrasun @benjamincrozat It comes out of the box in Laravel. We don’t need to concern ourselves with basic functionality like this as Laravel devs 🤷🏼♂️
English

@benjamincrozat My authentication works 😂
I am polishing it and closing all the corner cases.
Is it solved in Laravel?

Non-Laravel developers spending way too much time re-developing what we take for granted. 😅

I am rebuilding my authentication to fix most of the mistakes I made. One of them was showing a toaster instead of rendering errors right in the form. Many didn't see it and it led to support load. But I see it as a common pattern. Maybe am I wrong? For example, Resend:

Reviewing big PRs on @github web is making the browser very sluggish. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

English

@JasonDJudge @mmartin_joo That’s interesting! Thank you! Will definitely try to do this.
English

@krishankoenig @mmartin_joo You create a new currency class. PHP money makes this very easy. You can also set up a currency conversion between, say, USD and MUSD, of 1000 to quickly move between them.
English

@aarondfrancis If I remember correctly, you’re a big Interstellar fan, yeah?
This is a good listen, if you’re interested.
