@AlfaRomeoJun Yes - for things like chapati that need a flame. Everything else is fine

@krishashok But you haven’t considered the taste of food cooked in induction versus gas; I thought you would at least mention that as a sophisticated chef 🙂 I much prefer food cooked on a flame.

@krishashok Nice video. Also why not also consider other electric cooktops too? And instant pots – they are also faster to cook even for large quantities!

Ok boss. It’s just a better cooking appliance on the medium to long run where more of the energy mix will come from renewable sources. And “many” that consume my English language content. Why the assumption that I’m speaking to anyone else? I don’t see any flip side to the urban rich getting off subsidised LPG

@krishashok replace "everyone" with "many" - i assume that's what you would like. the conclusions will still be similar. electricity prices will rise because higher demand and lpg prices will fall because lower demand

Mandatory disclosure: I am a TTK Prestige shareholder. I am also a Power Grid shareholder. I am also an Indian Oil shareholder. a. If everyone shifts to induction, then electricity consumption shoots up and LPG prices fall. In economics, this is called substitution effects. When demand for electricity shoots up, so does the price of electricity per unit. By how much? I am not sure. b. What is the extra load on the power grid when more and more people use induction? I don't have an answer. c. Commercially available induction stoves are good for cooking small amounts of food. Try cooking for a family of 6-8 on an induction stove. d. Gas stoves last for ages. I have seen people use 40 year old gas stoves too. Induction stoves? They last at most 5 years with low usage. With heavy usage 3 times a day, i suspect they will conk off much faster. e. Induction stoves have semiconductor chips in them. The same chips that make your cars and electronic devices. There is already a massive chip shortage globally. f. Remember when demonetization happened and people were told to use Paytm and credit cards? How did that go? Any idea how difficult it is to get a middle aged, or old person, with hundreds of other responsibilities, to suddenly learn to use an induction cooker?

I’d recommend that anyone that thinks induction stoves are elitist do a little bit of math youtube.com/shorts/veqy539…

@psmith2 @peeleraja Boss I sang the praises of induction in my book 5 years ago and also posted a pretty viral video about how it works.

@krishashok @peeleraja Yeah it’s ok to use it now to ease the pressure on L P G and continue to use it to boil milk and stuff for other reasons . Treating it as a complete replacement and singing its benefits is bullshit.. if it was so great why did you not mention it till now ..

@krishashok thala .. உங்கள் பார்வைக்கு 😃 over the period of time how much of stone will get into body system and how why this vessel can be useful than food grade stainless steel?

Watch a block of natural soapstone turn into a #Kalchatti cooking pot in the hands of a Tamil Nadu artisan. This traditional cookware holds heat beautifully and cooks food evenly. See the craft, the patience, and the heritage behind every piece #Zishta brings to modern kitchens.

Judging by the last few mass movies I saw in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi, it feels like they only need to shoot 30 mins of actual footage, which in ultra slow motion becomes 3 hours.
