They will surpass the combined Instagram followers of both national parties (Congress with 13.3 million and BJP with 8.8 million) by tomorrow morning. BJP has historically been the weakest on Instagram, having never focused on or invested in the platform (though I hope they do now). For Congress, however, this is utter humiliation, as Instagram was essentially their only significant presence in digital space. BJP has maintained a strong presence on Facebook since 2012 through traditional vote-bank groups, a dedicated IT cell, organic support on Twitter (X), and large, well-structured coordination groups on WhatsApp(Based on my experience covering dozens of elections this is my basic understanding). In contrast, if Congress loses its Instagram clout, it will effectively lose its entire digital presence. This analysis is limited to social media, which has very little to small impact on actual election outcomes. At the ground level, in terms of face value and ideological strength, both parties are highly resourceful—especially BJP, which can mobilise swing voters in less than 24 hours. BJP has the ability to win seats that no one expects them to win, purely on the strength of its foundational binding and organisational depth. Social media activism has indeed sparked significant movements and revolutions, such as the Guerrilla Open Access Movement led by Aaron Swartz, the Five Star Movement in Italy, Brexit in the UK, the Podemos Indignados movement in Spain, and Afro-Trinbagonian activism in the Caribbean. Having a large follower base can therefore genuinely help start and amplify a cause. CJP followers are mostly young, politically naive, poorly read, and trend-driven. Their handlers operate from the safety of the USA, Germany, Ireland, and Switzerland. Every CJP supporters should demand that these leaders return to India and lead the revolution from the front. They should stop expecting others to take risks while they themselves avoid posting or doing anything that could even marginally get them in trouble.

Back in 2012, @sagarikaghose then a news anchor now Deputy Leader of TMC organised a newsroom Q&A with students. A 22 year old Tanya Bharadwaj, asked a question to Mamata Banerjee and Mamata got furious, labelled her CPI cadet, Maoist and more and walked off the stage. That same night, Tanya had to leave Kolkata as goons and party supporters were allegedly after her, according to a batchmate. Sagarika Ghose did not support or defend her. Today, 14 years later that same lady recalls the incident and heaves a sigh of relief.

Cockroach Party of India
Cockroach Party of India@Cockroach4India·
🪳 VERY URGENT MESSAGE 🪳 •We are a team of three engineers. We have a vision. We have a roadmap. And we know how to raise genuine issues that actually matter to the people of this country. •From the very first day of the Cockroach movement, we have continuously raised real public concerns. We are not here for victim cards, meaningless reels, unnecessary drama, or attention-seeking politics. We want to keep this movement honest, sustainable, and powerful enough to bring real systemic change. •Many of you have been asking: “What is the difference between CJP and CPI?” The difference is huge. In our opinion, CJP appears to be designed mainly to create online momentum and political space for AAP during the Punjab elections. Suddenly there were AI generated photos, AI reels, professionally designed campaigns, and aggressive online promotion from nowhere. It looks more like a carefully managed IT cell driven project than an independent public movement. But CPI ,the Cockroach Party of India is completely different. •We are not connected to any political party. You can verify this from our previous tweets, and you will continue to see it in the coming months and years. We are independent. We are issue-based. We are here only for the people. •While others focused on trends and emotional online content, we raised serious issues like the paper leak scandal and demanded accountability, including the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. CJP just copied the issue later, but since then they have not raised any serious concerns. We are trying to address problems from every angle education, corruption, unemployment, governance, transparency, and public suffering. •We are the party of youth. The party of marginalized voices. The party of women, traders, scientists, doctors, engineers, workers, and ordinary citizens. We are inclusive. We are not driven by political revenge or hidden agendas. We are sincerely here to raise ground-level issues and expose corruption. Here is our roadmap: • First, we will work to bring systemic change using existing transparency and accountability tools. • We are extremely strong in research and investigation work. • Then we will educate and sensitize people about existing problems and practical solutions. • If this movement grows and people truly trust us, we will take it to the next level in the future. •How will we achieve this? We will collaborate with neutral social media handles and independent voices. We will continue raising public issues fearlessly. We will become the voice of people who feel unheard. In the coming days, you will slowly start trusting us more because our actions will speak louder than words. We are not promising miracles. We are promising honesty. This country has enough political theatre already. What it needs now is courage, truth, research, and people who genuinely care. CPI is not here for power. CPI is here for change. And maybe, just maybe, this is the hope ordinary people have been waiting for.

If there's one lesson to be learned from TN election - if the ruling party starts suppressing an incumbent, it means they are afraid of the incumbent. No more fuel required than suppression for people to open their eyes and pay attention. If ruling party leaves them alone (or even helps them), they'll make mistakes and make a mockery of themselves. But if the ruling party actively goes out of their way to thwart any attempts like this, it awakens people to the reality of dictatorship in the name of democracy.

India is considering incentives exceeding $1 billion to spur private-sector adoption of electric buses and trucks to cut fossil-fuel use amid a deepening energy crisis. Our Understanding So India is thinking about putting more than $1 billion behind getting private fleets to buy electric buses and trucks, and what stands out is that the push is aimed at demand. You can see why. Electric is still only around 3% of new buses, so there is a long way to go before any of this shows up. The way to think about who wins is simple enough. Domestic electric commercial vehicle makers, the battery suppliers and the charging builders all stand to benefit, and so do the fleet financiers. On the losing side you have the diesel engine makers and the fuel chain, which just keep slowly giving up ground. If you are allocating, the safer way to play it is at the chain level, favouring electric commercial vehicles and charging over the diesel side. But keep one eye on the trigger. If the incentives stall or never really pay out, electric stays near 3% and the whole read quietly stops working.

Abhijeet Dipke is the 30 year old founder of the viral Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). He is a journalism graduate originally from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, currently studying Public Relations at Boston University. Between 2020 and 2023, he managed social media and meme campaigns for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) under leaders like Manish Sisodia. He launched CJP on May 16, 2026, after Chief Justice of India Surya Kant called certain unemployed youth with fake degrees "cockroaches" and "parasites in society." Dipke instantly weaponised this courtroom remark to channel the anger of frustrated, unemployed Gen Z youth. While his content targets both BJP and Congress, he actively pushes the AAP political narrative. He has a history of legal trouble, including a 2019 police case over provocative social media posts. His satirical page shattered records by gaining over 10 million Instagram followers in just 5 days, surpassing the ruling BJP's follower count. Do you think they can convert follower count into votes?

It took @BJP4India 14 years to build this traffic on Instagram. Meanwhile it took less than 14 days for the #cockroach Janta party to cross the figures. This is unprecedented! Social media ecosystem is unpredictable and not permanent. Tables can turn!

Our statement on media interview by Abhijeet Dipke - 1. Abhijeet Dipke gave the idea of Cockroach Janata Party but it was not his creation, the Chief Justice gave this idea. 2. Gen-z Now there is no single person or the title of cockroach has not been given to one person, hence Abhijeet Dipke gave the interview after saying that he would not give interview to the lapdog media, this is his personal decision. Gen-z party stands by its decision.
