पीएचडी के दिनों में जब कोई शोध-पत्र प्रकाशित होता था या पेटेंट स्वीकृत होता था, तो उसे बड़े उत्साह से सेलिब्रेट किया जाता था। वे उपलब्धियाँ असाधारण लगती थीं । आज वही पेटेंट और उनका कमर्सिलाइज़ेशन सामान्य जीवन का स्वाभाविक हिस्सा बन चुका है। अब सेलिबरेशन का केंद्र बदल गया है। जश्न बच्चों की उपलब्धियों पर होता है।😊

कभी किसी आदमी का उसके बुरे हालात पर स्क्रिप्टेड मजाक भी नहीं उड़ाना चाहिए। सौरभ ने संवाद भी अच्छे लिखे हैं, शूट से पहले रिपीट मोड में मार्लोन ब्रांडों की परफॉरमेंस भी देखकर आए थे, मगर जब डायरेक्टर ने एक्शन बोला तो अंदर राजपाल यादव की छोटा पंडित वाली आत्मा घुस गई और उसने ही सारी एक्टिंग करवा दी।

Watch this clip carefully. Three people. Two Hindus, one Muslim. A comedy show called 'Teen Taal'. Khan Chacha, through his self-deprecating humor, describes his dip at Har Ki Pauri. And he makes two observations, almost in passing, that should make you stop. One: He removed his taweez before entering the water. *"What if someone objects... the way things are now."* Two: He paid via UPI. What if his Muslim name showed up. The room laughed. He hid his identity. Twice. At a river. To bathe. The thing that gets me is, he's done this dip before. Many times. He never had to think about any of this before. That's the new thing. Not the river. Not Khan Chacha. Just this quiet new math he does now before stepping in. Amulet off. Name hidden. Don't give anyone a reason. And the way he tells it, light, funny, unbothered on the surface, you can tell, maybe he's made peace with it. Which is somehow worse. Now, I get the room. I get the affection. I get that comedy has its own language and you don't stop every joke to make a point. But here's what I can't get past. He is the powerless one in this story. And he is the one making fun of himself. He is doing the work of making everyone comfortable with his own discomfort. Packaging it so nicely that the room can laugh and move on. And the two Hindu men, who clearly love him, I'm not questioning that, they just... laughed along. Warmly. And moved on. Just one line. That's all. "Yaar, Ganga kab se sirf hinduon ki ho gayi? Ganga-Jamuni mein bhi aadhi Ganga hai." Or anything, really. Any small moment where the joke turns outward instead of inward. Where it pokes at the thing creating the discomfort instead of just cushioning it. One funny, throwaway, irreverent line that tells the Muslim man watching at home: Haan yaar, this is wrong, you shouldn't have to do this. That's it. That's all I'm asking for. Because somewhere a Muslim watched this clip and recognized every single beat. The taweez coming off. The half-second before the UPI payment. The quiet calculation, am I too visible right now? He laughed, because Khan Chacha is funny and warm and the joke lands. And then the clip ended. Maybe it's too much to ask. Maybe in this climate even a throwaway joke feels like a risk. Maybe I'm romanticizing what comedy can do. But I also think, what is the point of humor between friends, on a public platform, if it doesn't do this one small thing? If it can't, just once, say I see what's happening to you, and it's not okay? Khan Chacha made it funny. He did the hard part. All they had to do was to put the hand of humor on his shoulder.

नैरेटिव कैसे बनता है देखिए... आजतक रेडियो पर तीन ताल नाम के शो में 4 बुद्धिजीवी बंगाल इलेक्शन का विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं जिसमें ओझा सर भी शामिल हैं। इन चारों ने पूरे 25 मिनट इस पर बात की, कि बंगाल में बीजेपी की जीत के फैक्टर क्या हैं और पूरे टाइम सिर्फ तारीफें करते रहे एक बार भी नहीं कहा कि उसकी जीत के फैक्टर में भर-भरकर बेईमानी थी चुनाव आयोग का पूरी तरह से एकतरफा रवैया था, 90 लाख लोगों का वोट काटना था, सेंट्रल फोर्स के दम पर दादागिरी करना था। बुद्धिजीवियों का काम होता है अपनी बुद्धि का प्रयोग करके आम लोगों तक सच पहुंचाना उन लोगों तक जिनकी जिंदगी सिर्फ कमाने और खाने में ही खर्च हो रही है लेकिन हमारे यहां ज्यादातर बुद्धिजीवी अपनी बुद्धि का प्रयोग बीजेपी के लिए नैरेटिव बनाने में ही खर्च कर रहे हैं... अगर ये लोग सोचते हैं कि ये व्यंग्य करके हंसते हुए दोहे सुनाकर किसी का पक्ष लेंगे और लोगों को पता नहीं चलेगा तो ये इनकी गलतफहमी है हम सब समझ रहे हैं।

बंगाल क्यों पिछड़ गया? 2006 के पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा चुनाव में लेफ्ट फ़्रंट को 235 सीटें मिली थीं. तब लेफ्ट फ़्रंट की सरकार को करीब 30 साल हो गए थे. मुख्यमंत्री बुद्धदेब भट्टाचार्य को लगा कि बिना इंडस्ट्री के विकास नहीं होगा. कोलकाता के पास सिंगुर में टाटा मोटर्स को नैनो कार का कारख़ाना लगाने के लिए ज़मीन दी गई. नंदीग्राम में केमिकल हब बनाने के लिए ज़मीन अधिग्रहण किया गया. लेफ्ट फ़्रंट की पॉलिसी में यह बड़ा बदलाव था.तब तक बड़े उद्योगों की जगह छोटे कुटीर उद्योगों को प्राथमिकता देने की नीति थी. बंगाल के लिए यह परिवर्तन ज़रूरी था, लेकिन ज़मीन अधिग्रहण का विरोध शुरू हो गया. TMC की नेता ममता बनर्जी लेफ्ट को हटाने के लिए 15 साल से कोशिश कर रहीं थीं लेकिन सफल नहीं हो सकीं थीं. ममता ने मौक़े का फ़ायदा उठाया. आंदोलन को हवा दी. टाटा को प्लांट बनने से पहले ही बंद करना पड़ा . नरेंद्र मोदी गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री थे. उन्होंने टाटा संस के चेयरमैन रतन टाटा को SMS किया . Welcome to Gujarat. हफ़्ते भर में टाटा मोटर्स ने गुजरात में कारख़ाना खोलने का फ़ैसला कर लिया. तब ख़बरें छपी थी कि मोदी SMS पर एक रुपया खर्च कर इतना बड़ा इन्वेस्टमेंट ले आएँ. सिंगुर और नंदीग्राम आंदोलन ने लेफ्ट फ़्रंट को बंगाल में खत्म कर दिया. 2011 में बंगाल में TMC की सरकार बनी . लेफ्ट कभी नहीं लौट पाया. ममता नारा था परिवर्तन. 15 साल बाद परिवर्तन का यही नारा TMC की हार का कारण बन गया क्योंकि आर्थिक नीतियों में परिवर्तन हुआ नहीं. लेफ्ट की आर्थिक नीतियों को ममता बनर्जी ने कमोबेश जारी रखा. लक्ष्मी भंडार जैसी कल्याणकारी योजनाओं पर सरकार ने खर्च किया. बड़ी इंडस्ट्री बंगाल में नहीं आई बल्कि जो कंपनियाँ थीं वो भागने लगीं. सरकार ने संसद में बताया था कि 2011 से 2025 के बीच करीब 7 हज़ार कंपनियों ने बंगाल से अपना रजिस्टर्ड ऑफिस दूसरे राज्यों में शिफ़्ट कर दिया. इसमें 110 कंपनियाँ शेयर बाज़ार में लिस्ट हैं. नतीजा देखिए गुजरात की प्रति व्यक्ति आय बंगाल से दोगुनी है. कोलकाता की तुलना कभी मुंबई से होती थी. 1961 में बंगाल की प्रति व्यक्ति आय देश के पहले पांच राज्यों में थी और अब अंतिम पांच राज्यों में. बीजेपी ने घोषणा पत्र में एक बड़ा वादा किया है कि सिंगुर में इंडस्ट्रियल पार्क बनाया जाएगा. यह प्रतीकात्मक है क्योंकि सिंगुर से टाटा जाने के झटके से बंगाल आज तक उबर नहीं पाया है. बात सिर्फ प्रतीकों की नहीं है. बंगाल में परिवर्तन ज़मीन पर तभी आएगा जब आर्थिक नीतियों में बदलाव आएगा. हिसाब किताब में अर्थव्यवस्था और कंपनियों के अलावा टेक्नोलॉजी को भी समझने समझाने की कोशिश है.
