Debugging Fluent Bit Retries in Kubernetes - Problem: Debugging unexpected retries in Fluent Bit for k8s events. How Fluent Bit ships logs in chunks: 1. Collects logs from inputs (tail, systemd, k8s, etc) 2. Groups log records into chunks in memory or filesystem (storage.type)

Someone turned Kubernetes trauma into a video game. It is called K8sQuest. 50 levels. Each one breaks something real in a local cluster. CrashLoopBackOff. ImagePullBackOff. Pending pods. Broken services. RBAC failures. Your job is to fix it using real kubectl commands on a real local cluster. No cloud. No AWS bill. No risk of actually taking down production while you learn. - 5 worlds, beginner to advanced, 10,200 total XP - Real-time monitoring so you watch your fix take effect live - Progressive hints that unlock only when you are actually stuck - Post-mission debriefs explaining why the fix worked, with real production incident examples - Built-in safety guards so you cannot nuke your own cluster by mistake - Level 50 throws 9 simultaneous failures at you at once This is not a tutorial. This is a flight simulator for the exact 2am panic every Kubernetes engineer has lived through. 1.2k stars. 126 forks. Apache-2.0. Free. Repo here: github.com/Manoj-engineer…

Productivity is driven either by curiosity or by fear. If you think you are highly unproductive, pick up something you are curious about or induce an artificial fear - e.g., deadlines, irrelevance, or failure. It's not always comfortable, but fear can be a powerful motivator.

Three days of demos, deep conversations, and new connections at BEYOND Expo Macau! @beyondtechexpo It was fantastic sharing our vision for private AI infrastructure with the community. From Olares OS to Olares One, we loved showing how local AI scales from personal use to the enterprise. Thanks to everyone who visited the booth, asked tough questions, and talked tech with us. Most DevOps/SRE engineers check only kubectl logs, but Kubernetes generates logs at multiple layers. 1. Container Logs /var/log/containers/*.log Application crashes, exceptions, and misconfigurations. 2. Pod Logs /var/log/pods/*.log Issues between containers inside the same pod. 3. Kubelet Logs /var/log/kubelet.log Pod lifecycle, resource handling, node communication. 4. Control Plane Logs • API Server -> /var/log/kube-apiserver.log • Controller Manager -> /var/log/kube-controller-manager.log • Scheduler -> /var/log/kube-scheduler.log • etcd -> cluster state & leader election 5. Node Logs Syslog from the Linux node -> hardware or OS-level issues. 6. Application / Custom Logs App logic errors, performance issues, and business events. Rule of thumb for debugging Kubernetes: Container ➜ Pod ➜ Kubelet ➜ Control Plane

The difference between CMD and ENTRYPOINT in a Dockerfile is explained in every Docker tutorial, understood for approximately 15 minutes, and then forgotten permanently.
