Miss America 2023, @GraceMVanderhei, is the perfect host in this trailer for the Worldview Films show concept about clean energy. Not only is she great on camera, but she also happens to be a nuclear engineer. Climate stories can be a bit boring. Grace and I are both driven by the belief that they can also be exciting. Exploring the right stories in the right way is the trick. #nuclear #climate #energy

Oil prices jump when supply chains like the Strait of Hormuz face disruption, incentivizing more drilling. Yet, soaring gas prices also accelerate the shift to renewables. Competing forces shape our energy future. #Energy #Economics #Sustainability

I’m at @DataCenterWorld - no it’s not a theme park it’s a conference! Love them or hate them - data centers are critical to AI. I’m curious about how society responds to large infrastructure projects. We all want electricity - what else will become indispensable?

In 2025, emissions fell in India, China, and the EU while rising in the US and Canada.

Offshore wind power on the East Coast of the US is a game-changer. With shallow waters and consistent winds, it's a machine for generating electricity and revenue for America. Even with political shifts, this economic opportunity is too good to pass up. #OffshoreWind #Energy

I’ve been spending the last few years filming large clean energy and infrastructure projects, and trying to make sense of how these systems actually get built. I started recording some conversations about it. First episode is with Jason Ryan (@JasonARyan), who’s spent years in the industry (American Clean Power, BP). We talk about why it’s become so difficult to build energy infrastructure in the US, and how that’s starting to show up in prices and competitiveness. Sharing it here.

@BjornLomborg Are you saying building electricity infrastructure is all wasted money? How much did the world spend on gas and oil infrastructure?

@mattyglesias The weakness of that chart is that it's already outdated - the story is was has happened after that chart ends

The toughest barrier to building clean energy infrastructure isn’t engineering. It’s public understanding. That’s where Worldview Films comes in. I’ve laid out a blueprint of our theory here. worldviewfilms.substack.com/p/the-worldvie…

Last week, Vineyard Wind finished construction. I was at the top of the tower, inside the nacelle, filming the final blade come in and get installed. It was an amazing experience. Afterward, the entire top side team went on the top of the turbine and cheered. What a view! I've been filming with Vineyard Wind from the very beginning and have learned to know so many wonderful people. I can't share most photos or videos yet, but I cannot wait for the rest of the world to see it. #climate #offshorewind #energy

I think renewable energy is bipartisan, and we are all hurt when we retreat into our energy camps and fight. I’ve got lots of thoughts on how we can be smarter about making energy in the US and I think we need more conversations about this. It also ties strongly into the idea of sustainable abundance. #abundance #sustainableabundance #climate

We're excited to help offshore wind projects tell their important story. Here, one of our photos of an Empire Wind project is featured in a @CanaryMediaInc article. I'm a huge fan of Canary, so it's an honor to be featured. Thanks so much to the @EquinorWindUS team and everyone helping to keep offshore wind strong in these turbulent times.

Earlier this month, I had the great pleasure of directing a sizzle shoot with Miss America 2023, Grace Vanderhei, who also happens to be a nuclear engineer at CONSTELLATION ENERGY GROUP INC! We filmed at the Conowingo Hydroelectric Dam in Maryland. Worldview Films is developing a TV show exploring the future of abundance and energy in the US, and we think Grace is an amazing host for the show. Right now we are raising funding and working on development deals. If you'd like to learn more, please get in touch!

Earlier this week I was honored to conduct interviews with some of these fine folks who lost work due to the offshore wind stop work order that was issued right before Christmas. I heard stories of  mothers and fathers suddenly in limbo as they await work that was promised and the impact it has had on their families. I'm happy a judge has paved the way for one of the projects to restart and I think the work order should be lifted for all of these offshore wind projects that are almost finished. These are important American jobs. reuters.com/legal/litigati…

does Trump's actions in Venezuela sound pretty much like Bush in Iraq to anyone else? Trump's Iraq. We saw how that went. Oil doesn't have to be this important.

Every TikTok you scroll, every AI model you run, every data center that comes online needs one thing: power. A lot of it. We spoke with Isaac Dabkowski at @oklo about what the next decade could look like as data centers and AI drive up demand. Are we heading toward a future where nuclear is a core pillar of America’s energy supply?
