2. Strait of Dover 🇬🇧🇫🇷 500+ vessels/day, gateway to Northern Europe. Feeds mega-ports like Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg.
3. Strait of Hormuz 🇮🇷🇴🇲 25% of world's oil, 1/3 of global LNG. The Middle East's only sea exit to the open ocean, making it the most geopolitically sensitive chokepoint on the planet.
4. Bab el-Mandeb 🇾🇪🇩🇯🇪🇷 Southern gate to the Suez Canal, 20K+ transits/year. All Europe-Asia shipping through Suez funnels here. Houthi attacks rerouted massive traffic around the Cape of Good Hope.
