Doug Ford's Bill 5 will trample on Indigenous rights, labour standards and environmental protections. This Bill needs to be stopped. Protecting Ontario must include protecting the people and places we love. That's why today I called on The Premier to shelve Bill 5 and instead work with us on a plan that speeds up projects responsibly and respects the duty to consult First Nations.

Ford's latest bill, Bill 5, would allow the government to hand pick corporations to be exempt from any rules and regulations that would get in the way of them building whatever they want. Endangered species protections, labour laws, Indigenous consultation, the Greenbelt Act. All canceled if Ford's government wants you to let you build.
