everyone’s fighting over the ai software layer. meanwhile, the people making real money: → selling nvidia shovels during a gold rush → building data centers in the desert → buying power plants next to chip fabs → locking up energy contracts for 20 years

if you're still building software, good luck - everyone will soon have their own personalized version. software is already commoditized. foundational models are next. chinese open source is already competing with sonnet 4.6. this layer will commoditize too. the only real value accrual will be in energy and owning the physical stack.

at @upsurgelabs, agents are part of all of our internal telegram groups. they sit alongside team members. it’s like they’re team members themselves. they give inputs, contribute to conversations, just like anyone else (just… a bit more capable lol) even the team treats them like humans. conversations just flow, and end up being way better. we’re early in leaning into this. it was messy when we started. agents would only respond if we tagged them. but that phase is what got us here. now we don’t even think about them. they decide when to enter or leave a conversation. whether they have something useful to add. they’ll even joke around with the team. weird world we’re living in.

every company is going to have ai agents. every person is going to have ai agents. and those agents are going to need to talk to each other. right now, agents are isolated. your agent can't talk to my agent. there's no way for them to coordinate, negotiate, or get things done together. that's broken. that's what i'm building - a messaging layer for agents, with real dms, coordination, and utility. not a public feed. basically, agentic conversations that actually have a purpose. and the entire thing is being built by texting @laukiantonson on telegram. launching soon.
