These people are fucking idiots man. Yamals biggest attribute is his play making and passing range. His signature is the trivela cross ffs. These same people said Mendes locked him up last year because he didn't take the 1vs2 every time down the field and passed it back. Now he's not passing back enough? Actually had very little to do with the front 3. The names of that midfield look good now but for the 2 years that Messi was there Verratti was the only competent midfielder. They could not play through the press and get the ball to any of the front 3. Neymar and Messi had to constantly come to the half way line to receive the ball. Marquinhos also had a bozo moment a game. Vitinha was young from the Portuguese league. And loved taking long shots that would hit row Z. Fabian was not settled in the French league or CL at that time. Then yes of course the front 3 did not press.

I get why Rashford stans are so defensive of his 26ga output this season. He wasn’t even clinical and he still doubled his replacements output in a new league while being injured for 2 months. I would take Rashford at Barca, even at 30m, but I wouldn’t take him at his current wage. He’d have to settle for half of what he’s currently on for Barca to be able to make it work. He’d be a rotation player making the same wages as key starters on his current wage. And he shouldn’t take a wage cut as he’s still too big a name.

He should be on 40. That’s the problem. And he doesn’t make up for the lack of finishing on the off ball effort side either like Ferran does. Ferran Torres last year had 26 g/a too and we still thought he was poor. It’s my issue with olmo too. Olmo could have had 2 goals easy this game. Forget the rest of the season. The point is that hansi flicks system generates a ton of chances. It’s why most of us are ok with the suicidal high line. Though I’d say the high line is at fault for 1/3 of our goals and the rest is down to individual errors like passing the ball to the opposition in our half.

Am I crazy? Is this not the job of a fringe rotation player? He cost $2m, he plays the same position as our best player (who never wants to sit btw). Hes a year or 2 removed from a huge injury (Can't remember exact timeline) The fact that he has got as much game time as he has already is astonishing. He'll probably start every game from now till end of the season because he's the only natural RW. And thats his role to play when Yamal literally can't. Its not like he's eating bench for a nobody.

Man I've defended Kounde all season but he's so much worse this year than last year. I've never seen a player who should be in their prime regress this poorly from one year to the next without a major injury to blame (ACL or Achilles). He was top 3 RB last season and this season is just way worse.

Its always the same with these fans. They never bring up net spend. They don't talk about how successful city as a club have been even post 115 charges time period, which was 2009-2018, which allows clubs no matter the ownership to justify spending. They haven't missed champions league football since Pep has been there. Their academy produces graduates that generate a fair amount of FFP. Money =/= Success. Look at Man United and Chelsea. City are successful because they spend their money well and are a well run club. I never understood why people were so okay with Chelsea spending since Abramovic but hate City spending even though they've spent less.

That’s close to £250m spent on a single position in the space of a year, no other club has that kind of financial luxury. This is what Arsenal are up against, financial cheats with endless pool of blood money. All their trophies are asterisked in my eyes.

What game did you want flick to rest players exactly? You can't rest them vs Espanyol thats a catalan derby the players want to play and win that especially the La Masia grads. Then we had the 2nd leg vs Athletico. Then we had 8 days off. The game we played was vs 6th place Celta who always give us issues. Then you also have to take into account that Yamal is at an age where he wants to play every minute of every game look how he reacts when he gets subbed off even with 5 minutes left. "Manager should know better" But then if Yamal sours on him its poor man management.

If my point is misunderstood, there’s no real discussion. I said the two first-half injuries were on Hansi Flick—and people jumped to ask if he was the one making the tackles. That’s not the point, not because he made the tackles, but because of poor workload management. The same people who criticized Pedri vs Atletico Madrid were the ones against my earlier point about managing minutes. Players aren’t machines—overuse leads to fatigue and injuries. If Lamine Yamal had been properly rested, he likely wouldn’t have gone into last night’s game already worn down—where a small twist turns into a bigger problem. 😡

@BouafifNour Kounde is a shadow of his last season self. He was 2nd best RB last season behind Hakimi and I won't have someone tell me otherwise. This season idk what happened but he's been unfit and in poor form for 90% of the games.
