In partnership with @farmpluglagos, we are announcing a discount for fertilizers to all members of this community, we are giving Calcium Nitrate to all farmers here at the rate of #53,000 Naira per bag. Magnesium Sulphate goes for #57,000 Naira and CalMag goes for #33,000 Naira, they are all on discounts. Same discount applies to NPK 20:20:20, NPK 15:15:15. Special fertilizers for Tomatoes and Cucumber are also on discounts. If you are located at Abeokuta, you can contact @kullafarms and if you are at Ibadan you can contact @belugafarms

The cost of farming is expensive especially for those on a big scale. We are working on introducing an offer to all Pepper bandits and those in this community. We would be announcing a discount on common fertilizers used by Pepper farmers, such as Calcium Nitrate, Magnesium Sulphate, CalMag (Calcium Magnesium Nitrate), Potassium Humate Plus and NPK. In collaboration with @farmpluglagos, we are going to help farmers, especially those in the South West to reduce cost of certain inputs. @kullafarms @BelugaFarms

I agree that the scale matters. Nursing your own seedlings will take time before it get to the stage of transplanting. I think about 8 months before you can even think about transplanting into the field. What ever you try to save in money will be paid for in time spent. Yes definitely food for thought.

It depends on the availability of funds, the discount on the seedlings and how big you want to go. If you are to go big, you better reduce cost by doing it yourself, otherwise, you can buy seedlings. At the end of the day, your cost increases the moment you start buying seedlings. If I am doing just 2 acres, I can buy seedlings, but going to 20 acres would mean that I reduce cost.
