@IndianGems_ Why is the road transport minister making decisions of petroleum ministry. Will the petroleum minister take decisions on national highways then ? First and foremost, ministers should know their respective portfolios.

@sathyashrii @grok The light should not produce heat.. in a tropical country like India, adding more heat by incandescent lights is not good.

@ChetanNatekar12 @CountryGulshan The real issue here is the delay. I have heard that in Japan, if the train is 1 minute late, they apologize to passengers. I've never been to Japan. But looks like we are way behind in client satisfaction and quality services.

@CountryGulshan While i agree that it would be unfair to throw the rule book and collect fine in this situation,, do we really want a stampede-like situation at the railway station due to overcrowding?

A boy shared an incident from Kalyan railway station in Maharashtra that has sparked debate online.
He had gone to the station to help his family board a train scheduled to leave at 12 PM. Later, the train was delayed and he was informed it would arrive at 2 PM.
After buying a platform ticket, he waited at the station with his family. However, the train kept getting delayed for several more hours. Finally, around 5 PM, he helped his family get on the train and was about to leave.
That's when a TTI stopped him and asked for his platform ticket. After checking it, the TTI said the ticket was valid for only 2 hours and imposed a fine of ₹500.
The boy questioned why he was being penalized when the delay was caused by the railway itself. He argued that he had purchased a valid platform ticket to see off his family and stayed only because the train was repeatedly delayed.
The incident has raised an important question:
If passengers are forced to wait because of a train delay, should they be fined for exceeding the time limit of a platform ticket?

@RohitAg97405758 @Priyaa_Purohit Thanks for acknowledging that rupee is weak.

Education matters because crude oil price is not petrol pump price.
Petrol price includes crude cost, rupee-dollar exchange rate, refining, freight, dealer margin, central excise and state VAT.
In 2013, the rupee was around 55-60 per dollar. Today it is much weaker, so even the same crude price costs more in rupees.
Also ₹110 is not uniform India price. Petrol is around ₹100 in Delhi and higher in some cities because state taxes differ.
So yes, debate fuel taxes. Fair.
But “crude $109 then petrol ₹72, crude $98 now petrol ₹110” is incomplete maths, not education.
English

@Priyaa_Purohit It was pure petrol as well not the adulterated one.
