@MoxieBoosted I started playing VGC at the very beginning of SV so just having some practice without Tera is going to be super helpful. It definitely was a little bit of a crutch for me in terms of positioning.

I think the early champions testing is useful for figuring out stuff thats generally strong, but those unrevealed mega abilities could swing the metagame into so many different directions that I think people shouldn't stress to much about it until the game releases.

@playpokemon im still so upset that VGC venues were restricted to LGSes. Since they prioritize TCG, VGC is always shafted into the corner or left with filler time slots, where both space and time are constrained. we're already fighting for our lives for power much less stable internet access.

its challenging enough for local VGC scenes to grow, much less exist, after limiting our venue options. requiring online connection just adds another major barrier. if @playpokemon wants the Champions scene to thrive, they need to make grassroots events more accessible not less.

@lorcylovesyou I fully expect local card shops are just not going to run VGC locals anymore if they have to provide wifi. Some because of financial reasons and some just worried their wifi won't be able to accommodate.
If Champions dramatically increases interest there may be caps as well.

Btw I dont want this "grand tournament is too long 😩😩😩 or tour is organized badly" from y'all during and after the tour please be kind to the TOs AND how there will be a hectic rounds with double no shows, disconnection issues, limitless potentially overload and more problems.

@ItachiVgc @AquamarineVGC Also the bright side is, Champions just looks like it runs much faster than SV so that alone will drop round times. I can't imagine the networking issues will be nearly as bad either.
Still going to long rounds with those numbers, but much much better than trying that on SV

@AquamarineVGC If they have enough judges it’ll be fine. If not, it’s gonna be a long day. But regardless around round 5 or 6 the pace is gonna speed up when ppl are dropping out. I do think the expectation should be set that round 1 might be very long so ppl come in knowing for less complaints

One of my homies snapped this picture from the PAX demo. Notice something weird? That Incineroar looks MASSIVE compared to the Tyranitar and Garchomp around it.
I haven't seen anything else confirm size variations in Champions until now. Hopefully ZA Alpha's retain their size 🙏
