@DanmakumanG With a lot of the anime they were bringing in the early/mid 90s, I can see how a parent might come to that conclusion, but stuff later was totally fine and they were still convinced it was all Akira, Ninja Scroll, or Blood Reign: Curse of the Youma lol

@kurumilover Ah the good ol' days of parents thinking all anime being or porn or satanic. I lost a lot of mags and some VHS because of that. In the end they kinda understood lol

Just randomly remembered trying to explain to my adoptive mom Wendy the plot of Steel Angel Kurumi & why it wasn’t hentai when I was a teen & her giving me a look of disgust & telling me that it was “blasphemous” for having angels inside the androids & that I “needed Jesus.”

@Kitsugar01 It's all right--I rebought 'em all a few years later and she found out and was angry, but she didn't bother since I was about 17 and not 14 anymore lol. I think my brother stood up for me and was like "Maybe it's not as bad as you think it is."
