Our Neural Irradiance Volume (Eurographics 2026) permits real-time rendering of large scenes with dynamic objects and moving lights, while providing a higher quality at a given memory budget (10x improvement over probe grids!). Project page: arnocoomans.be/eg2026/.

Happy to share our @EGSympRendering paper (with @NVitsas,@cg_aueb) "Sampling Clear Sky Models using Truncated Gaussian Mixtures". In this work, we focus on complementing clear sky models with a PDF that allows exact sampling, in constant time and with minimal memory overhead. 1/2

@Atrix256 @EurographicsC @abasilak You are correct! We also mention this in the future work section of the poster. Altering the probe positions is supposed to be part of a (final?) refinement step.

@MGDev91 @abasilak @diharaw94 @EurographicsC @cg_aueb Of course! Author version of the poster will be public soon. Core idea is to keep the "most important" probes by minimising the error in YCoCg colour space, thus respecting luminance (Y) or chrominance (CoCg) transitions.
