Yeah I was gonna mention that but I forgot how W10 was. Thought I remembered 11 being a nice upgrade Some other things were it looks nice and slightly more visually unified with the new theming, new Terminal is cool, way better gaming performance and feature set until they backported some of it, etc.

@BanannaSlamma64 @kvmryx @katiserie Window management. I don't like windows 11, but the windows snapping zones in 11 are nice. Granted, it's pretty much just Fancy Zones from PowerToys, which you can run on Windows 10, but 11 has it by default.

You’d need to elaborate on that for that to actually be a bad thing. Does it use more resources and do them the same speed/slower? If so that’s bad. If it does them faster, that’s good. Hardware should be put to use, it’s like people complaining about ram util; unallocated ram is wasted ram I know W11 has had horrible slowness and bugs with file explorer but in my experience that’s been the exception to the rule, but idk for sure. Haven’t noticed anything particularly bad

@AstroTibs @katiserie This is the first valid complaint. I fixed it via third party day 1. To the extent I completely forget what the vanilla start menu even is, it’s so bad I just never even touched it

No I work in retail where I can quite literally see how much money I’m making the company. I’ll do anywhere between $600 and $2000 in a 5hr shift while only making $71. It’s more radicalizing to see the dramatic extent at which your surplus labor is being extracted

NEW: San Diego woman tanks two shots to the chest and still advances on officers with a ballpoint pen until tased San Diego Police Department released bodycam footage of the April 15, 2026, officer-involved shooting in the East Village near 16th Street and Island Avenue. 32-year-old Denise Guzman was allegedly stabbing a man multiple times with a ballpoint pen when officers arrived on the call. Guzman refused repeated commands to drop the pen and advanced toward officers. Officer Grijalva fired multiple rounds, striking her at least twice in the chest. She was finally subdued after multiple taser hits. Guzman survived and was hospitalized. The victim she stabbed was also treated for his injuries.

@Deck_Ready Looks like that’s via sleep/standby not actually powered off tho. This can be done with a few other controllers. If you’d like to fully turn it off I’d recommend wake on lan and use a phone app
