imo you either stick to your guns and don’t let them play or, if it’s really hard to not run the tournament without them, give the teams who signed up a very harsh penalty that would satisfy those that did signup on time imo I would do like a “last chance qualifiers” where all the teams that failed to sign up have to fight each other to grab a spot

I have mixed feelings about this situation tbh. On the 1 hand there are rules that were imho not that difficult to find. APAC (for project pbe) is historically the worst region at singing up due to language barriers, but you’re telling me they had almost no problems signing up? Process clearly wasn’t the most clear but evidently it was clear enough. On the other hand, the teams impacted due to lack of reading are really strong teams/players who are known to be top competitors in the scene. Personally, I wouldn’t fault EWC for not making an exception. If TFT players/orgs don’t do their due diligence to double check that they signed up before it closes, honestly I think it’s on them.

I was hesitant to speak on this situation because it's pretty volatile, but with many people now calling out weird behavior I'll say my piece Sykkuno was ABSOLUTELY in the wrong, he cheated, was cheating, and was flirting while he had a partner which is irredeemable behavior But what also bothers me is that many are saying they're victims with little to no proof, or on top of that, having proof that kinda incriminates them and makes them look like they were pushing for more. There are many out there that are NOT a victim in this and I feel like that is very damaging those who are actual victims in this matter and that isn't really fair to them at all If he came to you, flirted, made advances and you accepted those advances not knowing he had a partner then you were deceived and I feel like you would be completely validated in this situation But, if he came to you and you accepted his advances and you KNEW he had a partner or was talking to multiple people which many assumed already then you are a HOMEWRECKER, ENABLER, or probably both Also seeing people post 1 screenshot of them talking and playing a game in passing with nothing incriminating and play the victim card just to clout chase is absolutely DISGUSTING to do to the actual victims And the whole feeling pressured argument is weird too because i've seen no screenshots where there's any pressure and on top of that clout, fame, and influence DOES NOT take away your ability to choose as an adult and if it does for you then that's a whole different issue This discourse coming out is not an excuse or any easy way out for people that were wrapped up in his love pyramid because there are ACTUAL victims in this that didn't know and it's disgusting that people are using it as such We are all big boys and big girls so let's act like it and not discredit those who actually are victims and didn't know, let alone his partner who is probably the biggest victim in all of this Again, Sykkuno was absolutely in the wrong, but there are many people out there that aren't in the right either and it's disgusting so many people are letting them stand on their soap box and discredit and spit on the actual victims All in all, my heart goes out to those who actually suffered or were deceived, his girlfriend, and his friends that are reeling with the news right now.
