I’m not trying to be hyperbolic and maybe this isn’t a sign of things to come, but The Big Whopper flipped that Quincy King in a month. I hope it’s a sign that Griz are back to controlling instate recruiting. But if it’s not it’s proof that Hauck just stopped caring about in state recruiting. Five weeks ago, King was tagging only Montana State coaches and a now he’s committed to the Griz

@kyle_sample6 Completely agree with the first sentence. Just don’t think it means you’re already back to controlling in state recruiting. Honestly, half of the in state recruiting battles are decided at childhood. It’s unique amongst other states, imo.

I think it’s definitely an indictment of Hauck AND something to give Griz fans hope that Montana with its current coach are back to placing focus on winning the in-state recruiting battle. Definitely not saying it’s an indicator, but we’ll see how things go as MSU and UM compete for in-state talent

@kyle_sample6 I don’t think signing a hometown player who wanted to play at UM is a sign of getting back to controlling. More of an indictment on Hauck, imo. This years in state class has heavy UM ties. I’d be shocked if UM didn’t “win” the class, regardless of who the coach is.

@kyle_sample6 Um is going to win some, especially kids who grew up being a gris and always wanting to play for the gris. Thinking that um controls shit is as delusional as it is hilarious, and shows how thirsty um fans et al are for signs of hope 😅
