@chrissiesmiles Bimbled along the Cub(ish) route today… it’s very dry so I’d say it’s going to be one of the “cleaner” Grizzlies… I kinda want it to chuck it down overnight haha
@chrissiesmiles Hands down the most fun I’ve had in a race… from the silly signs and monologue-reading actors to laughably tough yet beautiful terrain it’s just great…
A tip - don’t get sucked in to a hard start on the road section, you can put more time into people later on
@chrissiesmiles@runchatuk@tri247 Guess it depends on how long it needs to last and how far you need to see, I like my petzl bindi - so tiny you don’t event know it’s there/zero bounce but for back lanes, paths and woods it’s still perfect 2 years on less than 2h at a time
@parkrun “If I’m frustrated by anything it’s the conversations that say ‘well you can just go for a run, why do you need parkrun?’
“We’ve spent 17 years demonstrating that that’s not the case, that the success of parkrun is down to the fact people need other people."

Next month sees the return of ‘official’ racing and we’ll finally get to see how far off lockdown PB’s people are in timed events. 👮🏼♂️

@GreenlightPT Surprised me too... only a couple of weeks to go before it’s officially allowed... Still, catching and dropping them as a 2 up was satisfying enough.
Cycle complete! Hard to explain what it means to have been able to ride again, anything is achievable with the right support. One more walk to go and we’ve made it over the line 👊🏻 @comicrelief
The Nürburgring has lost its most famous female racing driver.
Sabine Schmitz passed away far too early after a long illness. We will miss her and her cheerful nature. Rest in peace Sabine!
RIP Dick Hoyt. Ironman 1989, one of the most emotionally enriching moments you’ll see in sport - hurtling down Ali’i Drive at the end of that race, in the dark, cameras flashing everywhere, Rick loving it. A legacy that will endure, like the man himself. m.youtube.com/watch?v=dDnrLv…
