My heart dropped this morning after I woke up to a money request on my @PayPal credit card from someone I DIDN’T RECOGNIZE. The amount? Slightly over $1,200. I called Pay Pal right away, and the customer representative said it had already been cancelled. Turns out, the same account was requesting money from multiple accounts on the PayPal Platform, which raised a red flag. If you have a Pay Pal account, CHECK IT. Again, Pay Pal is already aware that this is happening and says their engineers are working on these fake money requests. For reassurance you can always call them. Oh and don’t call the number on the money request, it’s for North Carolina and you might be calling the scammer.
