It really is bizarre. Most of my friends don't have FSD (or a Tesla). And it is the single biggest lifestyle difference between us. They drive their cars. My car drives me. They don't get how much--even at its current capability-level--the product changes life-feel. FSD truly is a mass luxury product. That it is still so narrowly enjoyed is mind-bending.

$WMT is disappointed in results from OpenAI partnership, whereby Walmart users are allowed to shop via ChatGPT and OpenAI would receive a commission on these purchases “Conversion rates—the percentage of users following through with a purchase of an item shown to them by ChatGPT—have been three times lower for the selection sold directly inside the chatbot than those that require clicking out, according to Daniel Danker, who oversees design and product for Walmart. Put simply, Instant Checkout has been a flop.” -- Wired OpenAI on a heater recently in the news….

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

Pacific Dunes is, as best I can recall, the first Tom Doak design I ever played. The course turns 25 this year. Since the day it opened, I think it’s been the finest publicly accessible golf course in America. The original course put Bandon Dunes on the map. Pacific Dunes made it an essential pilgrimage for every golfer.
