Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus didn’t come to destroy the law but fulfill. Until heaven and earth pass away not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law. Jesus did not come to establish an oppressive socialist state and take people’s belongings from them. How is that you STILL don’t get it… YOU PERSONALLY are commanded to help the poor. Do you just not want to do that or something?

QUESTION: Is it possible to really be a Christian- a true follower of Jesus- and still vote to take away healthcare from the elderly and the poor? Your thoughts

Yes. You PERSONALLY should care for the poor. Why can’t liberals make this distinction? You.. you give to the poor.. not the government. You. Forming an oppressive government that steals from people to give to the poor (which in practice never happens, the poor end up starving) is wicked. The state is not God. Neh 5:11 instructs the rulers of Israel to give the people their stuff back.. which under socialism you can’t have land or an inheritance. It then says to stop oppressive people with a 1% tax. King Ahab stole Naboth’s vineyard, just like socialism takes people’s farms. What was God’s response? Commending Ahab on standing up for “the workers”? No.. it was sending Elijah to tell him dogs would lick up his blood. Sounds like God isn’t into socialism. Joseph bought people’s land during the famine in Egypt and “removed them to the cities”… sounds like socialism. What was the result? 400 years later they were slaves.

Wrong. Jesus never advocated for any form of government, and if he did he wouldn’t advocate for the one that steals people’s money, gives it to the ruling class and claims to be helping the poor while people starve to death. He advocated for his followers to personally do things to help others, not petition an overbearing state to do it for them.

There are dozens of verses about caring for the poor sick and lonely. Along with the whole good smartian story

@NikaChica2006 @DougWahl1 Chapter and verse where he says form a government to forcibly take peoples money and redistribute it. Bonus fact: The Bible tells the government to give people back their stuff (personal property) and calls the 1% tax they had “usury.” (Neh 5:11)
