@davidducc I moved out as soon as I had an emergency fund saved up. It was a bit dicey at times, especially when I was skipping meals to avoid draining said emergency fund, but I do not regret it. Note: ymmv on risk calcs. I knew I wouldn't become homeless, could move back in if I had to

@kyogres @HoneyKraut @onlysammms That's how I feel, I feel like I don't deserve this but my parents are the best and I have a great relationship. I do just feel like I need to seperate and let them have a break, I need to be independent I think is what I need. 😭

@HoneyKraut @onlysammms My parents are also very nice and I have a great relationship with them. I had to live with them in my mid-20s for financial and health reasons. I'm very grateful for the years they supported me as an adult... but I still wanted to get out of there ASAP.

@moonsoultarot It's because pads = diapers. I can't wear tampons for medical and sensory reasons. I don't personally mind pads, but my preference reflected poorly on me. Particularly in jr high, when I was considered gross and "immature".

@poindexpurr @lordvictor Right? I'm autistic, and sometimes conversing with NTs can be draining. But there's a big difference between "fake" social niceties ("how are you today?" "I'm good", small talk, etc) and "fake" bullshit (outright lies, etc).

A certain amount of "fake" is required for social cohesion. Autismos like to pretend this is a superpower, but it's actually a devastating weakness. Detecting fakeness is good, but being unable to process or deal with it productively is weak.

I've reached the point where certain Pokemon TCG vendors at card shows greet me by name and ask how I'm doing. Me, a faceblind dumbass: "who are you people?!" I don't go to that many card shows, but I DO travel several hours per week to play at various events and leagues.
