I think every company should have a #fridathon policy, to foster innovation, energize teams and improve morale cazzulino.com/fridathon. I'm realizing the term might actually stick, so I'm giving it a permalink, hehe :)

@RealJessica States competing on taxes is a superb idea the US enjoys. I wish we had that in Argentina @JMilei @LuisCaputoAR. Competition always brings the best results for consumers (in this case, tax payers).

New York Gov Kathy Hochul is begging wealthy people who have moved to Florida and Texas to come back to New York and pay taxes. 🤣
"I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state. Now, there are some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. OK, cut me the checks if you want to be supportive, but maybe the first step should be go down to Palm Beach and see who you can bring back home."
"I have to look at the fact that we are in competition with other states who have less of a tax burden on their corporations and their individuals. And I would say remote work changed everything."
"There were people who could only work in an office in Manhattan and work in New York state. And they were captives to our state, they were going to stay. We saw that that's not the case. Wall Street businesses looking at Texas, they're not going there because they have a nicer governor. They're going there because of the tax rate."

"It is nonsense to say that the Government officer will spend these hundred sous to the great profit of national labour; the thief would do the same; and so would James B., if he had not been stopped on the road by the extra-legal parasite, nor by the lawful sponger." - Frederic Bastiat #SECTION_G003" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bastiat.org/en/twisatwins.…

@chamath False. It's really not that hard to imagine autonomous agents running continuous improvement/maintenance/updates of code no human ever reads.

@James_M_South Are you automating the triage, perhaps with the newer GitHub agentic workflows?

Neither Opus 4.6 nor GPT-5.4 were remotely close to the surgical change required to fix this issue. Both resulted in bloated implementations that grew the API surface unnecessarily. I guess I still have a job, hehe: Ensure we preserve EndUser client option across chat/image github.com/devlooped/xAI/…

@Aaronontheweb @dotnet Dunno, never used that. I
It's like the native support for MS.E.AI APIs that Microsoft already does for OpenAI and Anthropic but they don't do for xAI 🤨
English

If you're doing Grok stuff with C#, I think there's no better integration with @dotnet MS.E.AI than this :)

@rcarmo @praeclarum @dotnet Readable code doesn't need lots of comments. It's the very reason python is everywhere, you don't need them for the most part. C# can do better in this regard, it just takes API-level support to leverage its better-than-python syntax: github.com/dotnet/extensi…

What reads better in C# samples showcasing AI scenarios in @dotnet
English

The three markdowns that make the orchestrator: burkeholland.github.io/ultralight/. Not even sure it's needed with plan mode + autopilot mode in the CLI, but it worked like a charm.
English

I built this native @dotnet C# JQ-compatible library entirely with the @github #Copilot CLI and @burkeholland ultralight agent orchestration. It was mind-blowing. From the jq user manual, came up with a phased implementation plan, and a few days later ✅ feature parity complete🤯

🚀 devlooped/JQSharp@v1.0.0 released! 🎉 Full .NET jq implementation with feature parity ✨ User-defined functions with recursion ✨ Variables, destructuring, and $ENV binding 🧵

Just a minor thing, but I find it nicer to read than "plain" C#, especially when compared with every sample in every doc that showcases AI APIs using python/javascript. We can do better in @dotnet: github.com/dotnet/extensi…

My favorite feature is being able to configure IChatClient in configuration files (whichever format) which auto-reload. Great for quickly iterating and testing different models with @dotnet MS.E.AI.
