The Albanese Government is under pressure to hit gas exporters with a giant new tax. Crossbenchers say without the tax we're giving away billions of dollars that could fund better services for Australians. #gas #fuel #auspol #fuelprice

34 Senators voted NO to One Nation’s inquiry into NDIS fraud. Right now, the system is $52B… and it’s projected to hit $100B by 2030. And they don’t even want to investigate it. These are our tax dollars and they’re happy for it to be rorted. This is supposed to help the most vulnerable Australians. So why shut it down? @DrewPavlou

Labor Treasurer for #Woodside Jim Chalmers also rules out a 25% tax on Labors biggest donors’ #Woodside and #Santos, reading from the same script supplied by the Gas cartels to all Labor MP's. Labor receives large donations from these Gas companies to stop the tax. #TaxTheGas

Australia’s gas resources belong to Australians, not the gas companies. A minimum 25% gas export tax is only fair. It means Australians get a return on the extraction of our resources and we can fund public programs for the benefit of all. 📷 Credit: Mike Bowers #auspol #politas

The Australian housing market bubble now exceeds approximately 700% of GDP, a level higher than the Japanese property bubble at its peak in 1991.

Labor has just rejected a 25% gas export tax despite strong public support. If you’ve got popular support for this, and you’ve a massive parliamentary majority, then – apart from free scotch at the parliamentary bar – what is the point of Labor being in government? #AUSPOL

It’s really not complicated. More people → more demand → higher prices.

Remember BoM’s website upgrade that was meant to be $4m but blew out to $96m and then didn't work? Well, BoM has now awarded an extra $16m contract to Accenture for another climate data website, from the very company responsible for the fiasco! abc.net.au/news/2026-03-2…

New Australia Institute polling shows an overwhelming majority of Australians support a gas export tax. 💸💸 "That gas belongs to all Australians. Companies can export it. They can make a profit. But they should be paying us 25%." @DavidPocock #auspol

@pikey14 Economics is about supply and demand. One nation plans to reduce immigration to 130k as we build 100k properties and lose 30k people who emigrate yearly. That settles the price
