I am a girl whose life has revolved around education. I wrote so much that the marks of the pen stained my fingers. I miss those days; I feel a longing for my books. I yearn for my classes, my teachers, and my classmates. With the collapse of Afghanistan, my rights and dreams have also crumbled. I have cried for my school more deeply than a mother mourns the loss of her child.
She is deprived of education by the Taliban but also let down by the international community which prfioritize their geopolitical interests over the basic rights of women and girls in Afghanistan.
