@RF_SLAM The problem with Crusade of the Trenches is... Where's the lore? And I'm not referring to bits of lore in miniatures or isolated artwork or snippets on whatever social media the creators use, I mean real stories, stories with a beginning, middle, and end, with characters.

trench crusade's lore is hard as fuck if you would just read the free shit on the website. fuck you. iron sultanate the the heretic legions are so hard its fucking crazy. the fucking finns with semi demon corrupted horses fuck so hard

Trench Crusade is a great examples of cool designs with no proper lore to back it up. It blew up bc of it’s amazing designs and art. It got people invested into it bc of these aspects. However as we tried to get into TC it became clear that the lore was terrible and inconsistent and no care was put into it. This is why it flopped. If 40K didn’t have good and fun lore and only had overpriced miniatures and cool designs and art it would’ve ended up like TC. Lore is essential.
