Rainforest Trust and our partner, Associação de Pesquisa e Preservação de Ecossistemas Aquáticos (AQUASIS), are working to protect 1,231 acres of critical habitat in #Brazil—home to the Northern Tiger Cat and other threatened species.

Saving the Brazilian Amazon is not impossible. The Rainforest Trust is one of the leading organizations committed to the preservation of this and other regions of critical importance for our planet.

There's a real sense of urgency for the survivability of the Brazilian Amazon.

Every day, precious acres of #rainforest are lost forever. Logging, palm oil production and mining destroy forests and pollute water. Poachers traffic plants and animals out of intact habitat.

We mark the passing of the legendary Pelé, known to many as the king of the "beautiful game." This image of a spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor shows the colors of Brazil.

The fact that even the goals he missed have become legendary for their brilliance is perhaps the best summary of his extraordinary greatness. Obrigado, Rei.

After years admiring their work from the sidelines I have joined the board of directors of the Rainforest Trust. If you are not done with your end-of-year giving plans, I invite you to consider them. There are few more direct ways to combat climate change and protect wildlife.

We cannot fight a #ClimateEmergency without protecting tropical forests.
