Bigots bemoan the fact that Jews dare to still discuss or be affected by the Holocaust, a mere 2 generations after it happened. We've reached a moment where somehow being a Jew with intimate knowledge of the Holocaust has actually become an argument AGAINST the validity of Jewish claims. Despicable.

I’ll start. You might not know this, but I’ve been advocating for the Jewish and Israeli voice for most of my adult life. Because it’s important to me to own my story and the story of my Jewish family. It’s a huge part of who I am and my honest identity. In that way, I garnered a real following on Facebook. A real community that goes back around 15 years. Up until October 7th, there weren’t too many public Jewish advocates. Over time, and especially since that terrible day, I’ve received tens of thousands of messages from people speaking up. People standing up for who they are and expressing that they’re doing it PUBLICLY. That fills me with hope. Because I’ve been in this for a long time and I see the change. One step at a time. One person at a time. One day at a time. And since this is my page, I’ll give you two more examples. My kids. Not because they’re my kids, but because they make mistakes like we all do. And I see how they learn from them. Every day. And every day, they make the decision to try harder. To be more thoughtful, more imaginative with their solutions, more kind. Lastly, music. All sorts. Funk. Soul. Pop. Rock. Classical. Like this track, Beethoven’s Pastoral. If you listen to it in its entirety, it rises. It falls. It rises again. It’s about a storm coming, and then passing. It’s life. It’s hope. Over to you.
