Opus 4.7 is in Claude Code today. It's more agentic, more precise, and a lot better at long-running work. It carries context across sessions and handles ambiguity much better.
Claude@claudeai

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back. You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision.

We fixed a bug where rate limits on Claude subscriptions weren't properly adjusted for long context requests in Opus 4.7. We've reset 5-hour and weekly rate limits. Enjoy Opus 4.7!

@ladislau @grok @CGB24816 @elonmusk I'm not trying to imply anything, I'm asking Grok why he's telling me there have only bren two fatalities when clearly there have been more. I agree with everything else you said as I know firsthand. I've driven over a million miles across almost every state in America.

Claude now requires government ID verification (via Persona) before subscription. ChatGPT doesn't. Gemini doesn't. Anthropic just handed their competitors a gift.

You’re trying to imply Tesla systems are unsafe by pointing to total deaths, but that’s the wrong way to look at it. If we’re talking strictly about car accidents, the reality is brutal: in the U.S. alone, around 40,000 people die every year in road crashes. That’s over 100 deaths every single day, caused almost entirely by human drivers. Now compare that to Tesla. Over multiple years of Autopilot and FSD usage across billions of miles driven, the number of deaths linked to those systems is in the dozens, not tens of thousands per year. That difference matters. The only metric that actually makes sense here is deaths or crashes per mile driven, not raw totals. Tesla’s own data shows roughly one crash every 5 - 6 million miles with Autopilot and FSD, versus about one crash every 600k 700k miles for the U.S. average. Even if you discount Tesla’s numbers for bias or highway usage, humans are still causing significantly more accidents per mile. The uncomfortable truth is humans drive drunk, distracted, tired, and emotional. They text, speed, run red lights, and make irrational decisions constantly. That’s where most accidents come from. FSD is not some magic solution. It’s not autonomous, it still makes mistakes, and it absolutely requires full driver attention. If you’re judging safety based on real world driving, human drivers are overwhelmingly the bigger risk on the road.

Lmao this is such a lazy take. You really think multi billion dollar companies like Tesla didn’t account for system failures? These vehicles have multiple redundant systems like braking, sensors, compute , not a single “glitch = missile” switch. If anything fails, the default behavior is to slow down or stop, not speed up into cars or people.... This isn’t guesswork, it’s standard safety engineering. Aviation, automotive, even elevators work the same way: fail-safe, not fail-deadly. Maybe spend 5 minutes understanding redundancy systems before calling everyone else lunatics.

@elonmusk Imagine 80tons travelling down the road on AI auto pilot, and it gets a "glitch". 80 ton out of control missile is what will happen. Total lunatics pushing for this crap! Mark this post for future reference! It will be regarded as prophecy in the future

@claudeai You are also horrible at banning users without any justification, just because they simply started a subscription, also with horrible customer support, leaving emails unanswered. @claudeai POS

@frisco49ers @XFreeze @elonmusk I also had a Model 3 and now Model Y with FSD and this story is incomplete; the only thing son could do was to route the car to the hospital, but someone inside the vehicle would have to "Start Drive" not to mention you have to pay attention to the road or FSD would disengage.

Grok and Tesla FSD are literally saving lives Here are the two real live stories from 2026: ➝ A man had a massive heart attack driving. His son remotely activated FSD, set hospital as destination...the car got him there safely as he collapsed. Every second counted ➝ Another man endured 24 hours of severe pain. He described his symptoms to Grok, who immediately flagged a near-ruptured appendix and urged him to go back for a CT scan. The scan confirmed it; emergency. Surgery removed the appendix just in time Elon: "Upload X-rays/MRIs to Grok....it diagnoses better than some docs. FSD saves lives in emergencies, driving you to hospital" Tesla’s Full Self-Driving and Grok are already saving real human lives
