@dublincomments A big scam is the special needs. The parents get welfare, the child gets disability allowance and free travel pass from the age of 16, and extra time in the exam.
Amazing how kids with exemptions from Irish don’t appear to need exemptions from English, French or German or other languages or subjects.
Another way parents are cheating the system for their kids.
@irishplushy As long as these guys are gathering peacfully to express their opinions in a democracy, I dont think calling them miserable is fair. Everyone is entitled to their political views and to campaign for them. Its anti-democracy to have an issue with that.
@ChampRDS It's hard to doubt Strickland after what he did to Adesanya, people laughed at anyone who said he had a chance in that fight. I like to root for the underdog to get it done. Who knows though. But I think anyone saying it's a foregone conclusion might be surprised with Sean.
Dricus du Plessis thinks Sean Strickland has a really good chance to beat Khamzat Chimaev 👀
"Strickland is a strong guy, a lot stronger than Khamzat on a physical level... If Strickland gets up 2-3 times in that first round, it's not gonna get any easier [for Khamzat].
Once Khamzat has to fight Strickland's fight, I just don't think [Khamzat] has a chance."
(via @FForecastShow)
@zombiemanjay Am I insane for thinking if Khamzat is bouncing around like this in the fight and Sean sticks to his more muted approach Khamzat is going to gas so easily? I can see a world where Khamzat genuinely tries to keep it on the feet to prove a point.
@marl0000@pondona12@Elonov_MMA Anyway there’s no point in going back and forth over a hypothetical situation, I think your opinions are valid and you’re more than entitled to them.
@ladtastic@pondona12@Elonov_MMA If it's not physical differences what are the other differences between men and women when performing high level skills ? Did you call women dumb 😂😂😂
If Shevchenko was a dude, she would be one of the most hated UFC fighters.
Her style has become painfully boring but nobody cares that much cos it’s WMMA..
@marl0000@pondona12@Elonov_MMA I think you’re missing the point here, nobody is calling women dumb? If anything calling WMMA inferior is closer to that. I’m saying men have a higher skill ceiling in fighting and if she was a man she would therefore have a higher skill ceiling + better “hardware” in male MMA.
@marl0000@pondona12@Elonov_MMA I don’t mean give her muscle and she dominates men. It’s a complete hypothetical, but if she was a man she would have a higher skill ceiling and her ability as a woman is already miles above other women so in theory she would be even better with a higher skill ceiling.
@ladtastic@pondona12@Elonov_MMA Making her stronger doesn't improve her technical ability, people don't like admitting that wmma is miles behind technically and is full of moves that shouldn't be successful but are
@marl0000@pondona12@Elonov_MMA If she was a man she would have the physiological advantages that men have and would have a much higher skill ceiling no?
@_str4wberrei@g1oomvrai AI has been used with great success in analysing CT scans etc for abnormalities. It has saved lives by spotting things doctors have missed. AI is not the driver it’s the copilot.
@_str4wberrei@g1oomvrai We don’t determine the development of AI. Companies who push and adopt this software at mass scale and then make it the standard/norm do
@ladtastic@g1oomvrai ai will only develop if people like you continue to accept it, we can still stop generative ai from taking over if we simply... stop using it
@g1oomvrai@_str4wberrei The curiosity argument is certainly not stupid. The viability of every use case can’t be determined on the spot. If a doctor is investigating how it can help him move faster in his job for example, that will take time to examine and iron out. We are discovering ways it can help.
@ladtastic@_str4wberrei also the curiosity argument is so stupid like ok we've all used AI at least once, you've sated your curiosity you can stop using it now.
@g1oomvrai@_str4wberrei That’s not what I said at all. The internet became a fundamental part of how things work, we can’t do anything without it now. AI will eventually do the same thing. I value creativity etc myself but it’s just true I didn’t say I was delighted about it.
@ladtastic@_str4wberrei we will all actually die anyway if you ppl keep using AI but sure, it's okay, you can stop using your brain for basic activities that we've all been doing for decades without AI. go ahead and turn yourself into a zombie just because
@_str4wberrei@g1oomvrai The internets approx water footprint 1.2 trillion litres/year.
The increase in water footprint since the AI boom has been about 100 to 300+ billion litres/year.
@DSlo_@MMAFIXED I’d argue that most of the top fighters likely were using some type of performance enhancers back then, Silva included. Obviously if Silva caught him clean he could KO him. I just don’t think Khamzat would let that happen.
@ladtastic@MMAFIXED I would’ve dominated Silva if I had as much, EPO in me as Chael had .. .. we’re never gonna find out but a front kick flying knee there is several ways Silva could sleep the Russian and yes, there’s a chance the Russian shoot taking down his scratch for five rounds
@_str4wberrei Well I don’t think people should die because they use AI it’s human nature to be curious and fascinated by this new emerging thing. We don’t get a say in what dictates the world, the internet itself is also killing the environment with data centers etc.
@DSlo_@MMAFIXED Silva struggled massively with Chael Sonnens wrestling in their first fight, he won yes but a dagestani chain wrestler is far more of a threat than an NCAA Division I wrestler imo
@ladtastic@MMAFIXED I never cheered for Silva in a fight and I am entertained by both but you people acting like Khamzat and his shot is unbeatable is quite frankly ignorant .. there ain’t a bull that can’t be rode
nor a cowboy that can’t be throwed !!
