How does a serious mind equate Nigeria’s road infrastructure reality with that of the United States? The very roads he referenced are currently undergoing major rehabilitation and reconstruction. True to form, he singled out the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as being in terrible shape. Yet the record is clear: No administration since 1999 has invested in road construction and rehabilitation at the scale and speed we are witnessing under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. No region has been left behind. From the North to the South, the East to the West, you can hardly find a state without ongoing road projects. So I ask: When last did Peter Obi travel the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway? When did he last pass through that road to Ijebu Ode?
