my daughter starts kindergarten on Tuesday. I’m gonna throw up cry and shit myself at the same time

sometimes life feels like this

nothing hurts more than seeing myself again in the same situation after getting better for a while

let them lose you they had enough chances

Part 3- This journey for her is lifelong and something her and I both have to adjust too. I pray nobody has to go through this. Type 1 diabetes may be a part of her but it does not define her.

Part 1- lifes been a little weird for me recently. My daughter was hospitalized, she was in critical condition and airlifted to a childrens hospital. Her and I are home now. She was diagnosed with type one diabetes so her body doesn’t produce insulin.

part 2- She went into diabetic ketoacidosis which is acid in her blood stream and was in PICU for a few days. Things are starting to get a bit easier but it is difficult counting carbs and sugar with everything she eats and getting the ratio right for the insulin she needs.
