nascar is just one of those comfort things that reminds me of good times as a kid with my grandpa. i don't follow as closely anymore, but sometimes, i still put on old races in the background to help me sleep.

when my mom and i lived with my grandpa, he always had racing on. if she was working an overnight and i would wake up before she got home, i would crawl in bed with my grandpa and watch whatever old race was on.

Ok my suspicion that NO ONE thinks about CBJ has been confirmed cause I’m flying out of Columbus & have been searching everywhere for a CBJ mascot plushie & I can’t even find a shirt, hat, even magnet mentioning that team. Even the city doesn’t care or acknowledge they exist.
