One of the main conceptual mistakes I see biologists make is assume that just because some phenomenon happens in some organisms that it actually happens in most other organisms & moreover that the fact that this phenomenon can take place actually means it's biologically important

When it comes to publishing, a young scientist can listen to science twitter that talks about the DORA declaration, preprints, & post publication peer review. Or they can listen to ERC consolidator grant reviewers who mostly rewarded people w/ multiple Nature & Cell family pubs.

Imagine we make self-sufficient (energy-unlimited) AI's and then somehow disappear. Do the remaining AI's live happily and cooperatively ever after, or will they start to fight each other like we did?
