I lost $2k last night because @Kalshi decided that Trump did not say “Mamdani” here This market was at 95% on yes before Kalshi arbitrarily decided to overturn it Previously they have ruled small mispronunciations as qualifying for the strike being said. Some examples Tesler = Tesla Newclur = Nuclear Last night they decide to go against that precedent on a difficult to pronounce last name and say that this mention does not qualify for Mamdani I’d be willing to wager 70% of America wouldn’t even notice this “mispronunciation” This is bad for mention markets It opens up opportunities for disputes on all kinds of small mispronunciations of strikes. Now anyone with a foreign accent or struggles with certain words will be called into question. Yes trades are significantly riskier than they were a day ago. Incredible lack of transparency and absolutely terrible ruling. My faith in Kalshi resolutions has been completely shattered after this decision. Extremely disappointed.
