I tried it again-again, because why not; and that time it worked. tl;dr I can no longer tell where Twitter's broken-ness ends and the hypothetical API shutdown begins.

@merveille Yeah, there are a lot of choices with not much difference. The good news: it's pretty easy to move if you change your mind later. Your home page is at tilde.club . Top page at tilde.club , says they have an M. server.

While I'm as bothered by Musk's actions & tweets as anyone, I still haven't found a forum to deliver accurate scientific information to the public that matches Twitter. But I have decided I'll never buy a Tesla. If many people make that choice, it should send a powerful message.
