community college challenges every classist notion of education and academia and having access to it has changed my life. it should be preserved, supported, and destigmatized with everything we have. hard to name a more precious educational resource for those over 18.

@grokisthisgay @charrlysa Yea i was in a similar boat freshman year including in the school itself then lockdowns happened and I was isolated away from accessing any support systems within a timely manner + by the time I processed it was too late anyways among other fuckery at home. it takes so little!!!

@lainkore @charrlysa this is so validating. a boy i went to school with sexually assaulted me my freshman year, and going back every day for the next four years made me severely suicidal. not because the school or teachers, but just the trauma and the way a 14 year old girl struggles to cope:(
