LAIT911 Fire changes its name to Southern California Wildfire Response.

What started in 2021 as a small real-time incident awareness tool has grown into something much bigger—supporting public readiness through the app and backing that up with real-world wildfire and disaster response work. To reflect that growth, our parent organization is being renamed: ➡️ Southern California Wildfire Response (SCWR) (formerly LAIT911 Fire) Important: Nothing is changing with the LAIT911 app. Same name, same branding, same mission of keeping people informed during fast-moving emergencies. Over the coming months, we’ll be gradually updating email addresses, website references, and other administrative branding to match the new organizational name. Going forward, donations and subscriptions may appear as SCWR on receipts/billing statements. Thank you for being part of this community. Your support is what makes both the tech and the field work possible. ❤️

Another emergency tree response. SCWR cleared a fallen tree that shut down all southbound lanes of Woodley Ave through Sepulveda Basin. Working alongside LAPD and LA City Park Rangers, the obstruction was removed and traffic was safely restored.

All northbound and turning lanes on Topanga Canyon Boulevard (Route 27) were blocked Monday morning due to a storm-damaged tree that fell during high winds. SCWR crews worked alongside LAPD, and later joined by CalTrans to clear the debris and open all lanes and restore the flow of traffic to the beautiful SFV.
