So I talked to my friend who relies completely on European mainstream media for news. We discussed the recent Epstein files. She started, “So horrible what Trump did to those girls. And Elon Musk was friends with Epstein.” I explained that these claims are false. Then I asked if Bill Gates was mentioned, she said no, and added that Gates is a great man based on everything she has read from the news. European mainstream media constantly portrays Elon Musk and Donald Trump in a bad light, saying things like “Trump wants Greenland for himself,” and they talk for hours on TV about how dangerous Trump could be. My friend said they always discuss Trump negatively on the evening news. This kind of coverage encourages people to believe lies, lose sleep, and distort their grip on reality. It’s brainwashing, and it’s evil.

Unpopular opinion for Capetonians complaining about Southern Suburbs and CBD rental prices: If you can’t afford to live there, then don’t live there. No one’s entitled to a specific neighbourhood at a price that suits them. I can’t afford to live in Higgovale, so I don’t. That’s not apartheid, racism, or exclusion. It’s supply and demand. Desirable areas with limited space cost more. That’s how markets work everywhere. So what’s the alternative people are actually asking for? Government controlling rent and property prices? Telling people they’re not allowed to buy or rent because they earn too much? Punishing people for being willing and able to pay more? Those policies don’t make housing cheaper. They reduce supply, scare off investment, and make shortages worse. There will always be places you can’t afford to live. That’s just reality, not a moral injustice. You’re not owed everything you want, where you want it, at the price you prefer. Trade-offs are part of adulthood, and trying to legislate them away just leaves everyone poorer in the end.

According to President Trump, the southern border is closed. There is zero illegal migration over the southern border. Since the supply of undocumented immigrants is therefore cut why not be compassionate and pragmatic about the people who are already here? Sure, get rid of the crooks and the bad guys but the vast majority of this population are law abiding, God-fearing, family oriented folks seeking a better life for themselves and their children. And please, give the Dreamers a break. Keep the promise that those who have basically spent their entire lives in this country, can stay in this country.

Let’s step away for a moment from the clear, unequivocal reality that this was Officer Created Jeopardy (It was. Period. If you are an officer on the street and a driver has a car pointed at you from, let’s call it anywhere from 5 feet and beyond, and they accelerate toward you at a high rate of speed. You draw your weapon and shoot to disable the driver and the car before they hit you. Ok, I can get behind that. Intent was clear. The driver intended to harm you with the car. Is that what happened here? Look at the still image right before she turns to leave. What’s the distance between the car and the agent? Less than 1 foot? If he feared for his life, how was his life made any safer by shooting her as she turned turned away from him to drive away? His life wasn’t made safer by shooting at her two more times, once from the side, and once FROM BEHIND. Quite the opposite, actually. By shooting her while she was driving, he endangered the people around him. Looking at the videos, you know how his life was actually made safer? By moving to the left of the car, like he should have completed doing in the first place, instead of breaking policy and standing in front of the car. This isn’t a close call. He created the justification to shoot, and then shot her.
