There’s nothing better than an emotionally positioned brand; let me explain what I mean with what Inawo has posted (and how you can apply it also): First, emotional branding is not about aesthetics. It’s about mirroring the feelings people already have, and then amplifying it back to them through your brand. That’s exactly what Inawo did. They didn’t post a sales flier. They didn’t try to sell what they are about. Instead, they joined a moment of collective faith. That caption wasn’t marketing. It was manifestation energy. They understood that for many young people, especially in Nigeria, weddings aren’t just about love. They’re a symbol of answered prayers, divine timing, and “finally, it’s my turn.” So by joining that energy, Inawo positioned itself as part of the dream, not just the service provider. That’s emotional alignment. That’s how you build brand authority without shouting. When you make people feel seen, they will always respond and that can read as: likes, reposts, comments, saves -> an engaged community, trust and eventually sales. That’s why it did numbers. It wasn’t “content.” It was community language and they hacked it! Now, here’s how you can apply it too: 1.Listen for emotional moments around your audience: what are they collectively feeling, hoping for, or celebrating? 2.Speak their emotional language. Don’t try to sell in those moments; the only focus here is connectinon. 3.Position your brand as part of the story they’re already telling themselves. *️⃣ If they’re dreaming, dream with them. *️⃣ If they’re celebrating, celebrate with them. *️⃣ If they’re struggling, show empathy, not superiority. 4.Build resonance before conversion. People buy from brands that understand their why, and pain, not just their wallet. Moral of the story? Emotional branding is not storytelling for vibes. It’s emotional translation: turning feelings into brand moments, shaping your brand’s perception. And Inawo did that beautifully. Okay, emotional branding class over. RT if you read up to this point, and follow if you like deep dives like this. I want to keep preaching the gospel of emotional branding✨

On preaching on the bus and the imposed fine from the Lagos state government, do you remember the once cowardly Peter’s response? “Who should we listen to? You or God? We cannot help but speak these things that we have seen and heard”. If civil disobedience is it? Then so it be

As a Christian, if someone asked you to explain the gospel in one verse, which verse would you use?

collapsing the video and photo section under one tab in the new Twitter update is such a ridiculous UX.

Is it Apple that’s putting up these iPhone ads on the roads, especially those ones at Ikeja under bridge. Some of them don’t even have like a store name attached, just “make your next phone an iPhone”.

🙂 In a case where we are being prohibited from preaching the gospel entirely then by all means break the law, but the law in question isn’t prohibiting from preaching, it’s prohibiting from causing a nuisance by preaching or hawking in a public bus that is in motion. There are alternatives to preaching in a bus, and let’s say that even where you want to preach, do it while it isn’t in motion yet

And for those quoting Acts and Daniel, I'd ask that you should please slow down and consider the context. I think some of us are conflating persecution for the gospel with every legal restriction on evangelism. Daniel and the apostles in Acts disobeyed because they were commanded to stop obeying God altogether, not because they were told they couldn't preach in one particular place. This isn't about defending the law please or promoting convenient Christianity😪. Christians should be willing to suffer for Christ, yes. But even Jesus didn't pursue suffering for its own sake. There were times He withdrew because His hour had not yet come (John 7:1; John 8:59; John 10:39–40), and He instructed His disciples, "When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next" (Matthew 10:23). We don't avoid faithfulness, but neither do we manufacture confrontation. We submit to governing authorities (Romans 13:1–2) until obedience to them would mean disobedience to God (Acts 5:29). That's the distinction I'm making.

Watched this guy, his mom was calling him on the phone and he was grumbling “I’ve told her that if she can’t get through to me on a first call, she should text me”. And I was just there nodding in my mind like: don’t worry, one day she won’t be here to even call you again.

@yetunede Had this guy who did something similar. I was just very irritated and I told him point blank, if he tries it he’s getting to hell face flat. What’s my own with you 🙄
