⚠ We warned "porch pirates" that we will have zero tolerance for stealing other people's packages!
On Christmas Eve morning deputies were investigating two stolen packages at an apartment complex near 155th and Ida Street. The stolen package from the first victim was listed as a Bluey Monopoly board game, valued at $21.00. The stolen package from the second victim was listed as 3 cans of cherry pie filling, valued at $19.00.
When deputies arrived, they obtained video evidence and suspect information. Deputies then spoke to the suspect, Abby Goetz, who was not forthcoming. Upon further investigation, Abby admitted to taking the Bluey Monopoly game and giving it to her family member as a gift. During their investigation, Abby allowed deputies to search her car and deputies found an Amazon bag (opened) with another tenant's name and address that contained 3 cans on cherry pie filling. Both victims wished to press charges.
Deputies arrested Abby and booked her into Douglas County Corrections for two counts of Theft Unlawful Taking <$500.00.
The DCSO will continue to take an assertive approach in protecting other people's belongings, whether it is in a home or at an apartment.

☑Get a job and buy your own things.
