Everyone's calling 2025 'the year of agents' - just like they did for 2024 🤔 A thread on what agents actually are, why they matter, and my spicy take on if they're just VC bait... 🌶️ 1/7

@Endlingg Now go tell Karen from your HR department that she needs to use a CLI, generate API key, pull some random skills from this repo and that repo and oh she doesn’t have GitHub account

we spoke to a company today who's security team is so concerned by ai code they're considering banning ai tools your first reaction might be "they're gonna get left behind" but if you are practical their concerns aren't invalid if you are a huge multi national org with tens of thousands of employees and they just got a button that appears to do their work, it's gonna get pushed a lot and the process around knowing what is making it to production is totally melting being honest we're all getting a bit lazier see that kiro related aws outage as a real life example so they're genuinely arguing over how much this is going to be allowed esp since the net productivity gains for the average dev seem to be pretty low

Upon investigation, I have determined the OpenClaw is, in fact, completely useless for anything besides grifting. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Anthropic speed running brand destruction was not on my bingo card If your account is disabled or banned, you can't create new accounts. Anthropic locks you from their services indefinitely My Claude account has been disabled for 2 months so far, and their team never responded back to any of my emails and appeals

Codex might be a great programmer but man is it lazy when it comes to actually running things. It keeps asking me to run things for it.

what's everyone's model setup for 🦞? i've currently just got everything running through codex (not just coding, literally everything). feels like their might be a better way? i'll likely burn right through my chatgpt/codex pro limits quickly.

i've been using it for all my work for the past 24 hours and i don't see much of a difference from opus maybe opus is a bit smarter but this guy is so fast and so cheap and we're probably going to drop our prices even further
OpenCode@opencode

kimi 2.5 is free for a limited time in OpenCode if you ran into bugs before, upgrade OpenCode - we've fixed up a few things and we're having a great time with it now huge thanks to fireworks for getting this model running so well so quickly

Anyone using Kimi K2.5 with Moltbot (Clawdbot)? Thinking about picking up a subscription but would like to know how it performs first. Or is going the API route better?

Looking for autonomy and @openclaw paired with backlog.md (from @mrlesk) feels right. Clawd takes over after tasks are pulled out of the backlog.

These are the guardrails I put in place to make it use Codex instead of its own subagents for coding tasks, you could do the same for any other model you can already run from the CLI Text: ## ⚠️ CRITICAL: Coding Sub-Agents **ALWAYS use Codex CLI directly for coding tasks. NEVER use sessions_spawn with model override.** ```bash # Correct: Codex CLI with PTY cd ~/Coding/contentBuddy git worktree add -b fix/issue-name /tmp/codex-fix-N staging bash pty:true workdir:/tmp/codex-fix-N background:true command:"codex --yolo exec 'Task description... When done: clawdbot gateway wake --text \"Done: summary\" --mode now'"

Here are 9 reasons you CANNOT ignore @openclaw The lobster Mac Mini takeover of AGI is here. Resistance is shellfish.

Dan Peguine ⌐◨-◨@danpeguine

why @openclaw is nuts: 1. your context and skills live on YOUR computer. not a walled garden and you can switch models with one command 2. it's open source so you're not paying anyone for insane value 3. it has a growing community building skills for it - this is compounding rn 4. world class developers like @steipete, @theguti 5. only 19 days old and is constantly improving, shipping speed is insane 6. "personal AI assistant" undersells it. it's a company assistant, family assistant, team tool. 7. it's accessible via any of your favorite platforms (whatsapp, telegram, signal, discord, slack...) 8. it's proactive AF: cron jobs, reminders, background tasks, it reaches out to you 9. its memory is amazing, context persists 24/7 what else?

Man. The era of a young, poor—but scrappy and energetic—young kid grinding and learning to code as a path to a good living may be over 😔 It would be so gross if a subscription to an expensive tool became required to learn how to do this professionally
Lain on the Blockchain@CryptoCyberia

Good news guys, Sonnet 4.5 would only be like $500 a month when the VC bucks dry up. Opus would only cost $3000-$15,000 bucks a month, unless you use Ralph and then it'll be way more. Keep in mind this is one instance. You all starting to see the problem yet?
