Help @BenediktEhinger to improve EEG visualization. I am convinced that he will provide the EEG community with another great tool in the near future

@choldgraf @FiveThirtyEight my guess is: the longer the game lasts, the lower the probability that one of the teams will manage to score a goal (little time left = fewer chances for a goal). thus they flatten out?

Can anybody explain why the @FiveThirtyEight world cup match probability plots flatten out in the last few minutes of each game?

@psyling_sam @AcademicEEG good luck. final tip. don't add eeglab to your search path (e.g. addpath(xx/eeglab)), but rather cd into the eeglab folder and then just "eeglab" and "close" (if you don't want to use the GUI).

@langer_nicolas @AcademicEEG Thanks for the tip! She did reinstall eeglab today, but with the same problem. We also updated all of her other plugins and reinstalled them and set proper paths. I will try restoredefaultpath and update tomorrow!

Hey #EEGLAB people. A student of mine is having an issue that her continuous EEG data is only being imported without any event information, but when I upload the SAME file, I have the info. We have updated EEGLAB and FileIO, but the problem persists... any ideas? @AcademicEEG

@psyling_sam @AcademicEEG hmm... did she simply copied the files of EEGlab folder to her laptop? I would recommend that she should download EEGlab herself. Another thing, I would try is to use "restoredefaultpath" at the very beginning (after you start MATLAB)

@langer_nicolas @AcademicEEG I am sure that the files themselves are fine, as I am able to read all of the information on my own laptop, but my student (using the same scripts, files, and even the same toolboxes/plugins) cannot open the EEG.event data information. I think it may be a Matlab setting issue(?)

Thank you @FrohlichLab for these kind words! this study was a huge lab effort and demonstrates the relevance of taking the alpha peak frequency and aperiodic signal components into account when assessing age-related changes in spectral power during brain maturation. @AcademicEEG

If you are looking for an EEG paper that shows you how it is done, look no further than this wonderful new paper by @langer_nicolas on maturation of alpha oscillations. Large shared datasets, pre-registered outcomes, replication, etc elifesciences.org/articles/77571
