@0xSeco The USSR had govt expenditure at 45% to 50% of gnp. That’s how nuts the whole of the EU is.
English

@ClimbClimbHigh @AscentSolar The big players with bucketloads of capital (raising capabilities) are coming for this market. Will read up on this corp. Looks interesting.
English

@langetrading @AscentSolar This right here. Demand and speed. They have to catch this tailwind now or they will cease to exist. Now. Or else they won’t be unique.

How $ASTI doesn’t double on comments likes this breaks my brain.
Come on @AscentSolar announce some updates! Strike while the iron is hot. G’Damn.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
@jhong The limiting factor will shift from chips to energy on Earth, then back to chips when space solar (star) power is unlocked

@thenate36 @unseen1_unseen @Glorfindel1951 Don’t complain:P Europe has double those prices, if not considerably worse.

@FranVezz It’s been like that a lot the last months. Its getting crappy and slow.

@venturetwins Get (sth like) the “hide my email” feature of Apple in iCloud+. Works brilliantly by over time simply getting rid of some of the bogus email addresses/accounts once spam builts up. Have not had any meaningful spam since starting usage ~1.5years ago.

@robkhenderson One of the only places in the world doing the reverse, seemingly, is Argentina; thanks to Milei. Giving decision power back to the individual. Ongoing experiment!

People who organize effectively to acquire power triumph over people who just want to be left alone.

California was supposed to be the place where you “lived and let live”. How, instead then, did it become the most oppressive, over regulated and overtaxed place in America while also being the worst on crime, housing and education of our kids?
English

@PantexCap @Swingtrader Oh lord that’s some series of equity fluctuations! How do you manage overall portfolio risk with such frequent and deep drawdowns? Any idea of your average equity%-at-risk per position?
English

Man what a run… $abl finally working, along with transports and consumer. And silver calls don’t hurt, especially after selling yesterday and buying puts - thanks @Swingtrader

@josecyc Start another while thinking; put the same query into another AI.

@euacchq @ylecun @vonderleyen @EZaharievaEU @HennaVirkkunen "I demand the implementation of 28th regime, simplification of the AIFM directive (for venture capital), unification of European Stock Exchanges and simplification of MIFIDxx, the brightest people, land and a absolute shitton of electricity"
English

Yann LeCun @ylecun is officially leaving Meta
Yann will launch his own AI startup
Would be cool if @vonderleyen @EZaharievaEU @HennaVirkkunen would call this 🇪🇺 AI scientist to ask what it’d take to convince him, his team and his investors to set headquarters in Europe
Rohan Paul@rohanpaul_ai
wow. Finally Yann Lecun just officially posted on his FB, an hour before, that he’s leaving Meta and launching a startup. To continue the Advanced Machine Intelligence research program (AMI). And that he will be "sticking around Meta until the end of the year."

@mwebster1971 @MylesKennedy Myles did a live concert in the Royal Albert Hall with his band Alter Bridge, in cooperation with the Parallax Orchestra. 2017 it was I think. Some parts are on YouTube. Man that was one of the best performances of him (and Alter Brdige). Awesome singer!

"Just be like water and decide
How you'll ride the wave this time" - @MylesKennedy
"The Art of Letting Go" (album 2024) by Myles is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! Heard it for the first time last week & can't stop listening!
Intense stuff IMHO, the title track 👇can apply to both trading and life!

@PantexCap Had to think of your take on $bw this morning! What a move.

UBTECH just landed another major humanoid robot order. RMB 159 million for Walker S2 robots, delivery next month.
This follows their RMB 250 million deal in September. Total 2025 orders for the Walker series now exceed RMB 800 million. The pace is accelerating.
What's enabling factory deployment? Autonomous battery swapping. Walker S2 can swap its own batteries in three minutes. No human intervention needed. This solves the continuous operation problem that held back earlier generations.
But here's the reality check. Revenue up 27% in H1 2025, yet UBTECH still lost RMB 440 million. That's an improvement from RMB 540 million last year, but profitability remains distant.
This is the current state of China's humanoid robotics sector. Strong order growth. Real technical progress. Actual factory deployments with BYD, Geely, and others. Yet no one is making money.
The commercialization curve is ahead of the profit curve. How long can companies sustain this gap? That's the question investors should be asking.

Myles Kennedy (Trio) opened for Mammoth & both bands put on AMAZING performances
My buddy Joe Fahmy was kind enough to introduce me to Myles after the show & I was blown away with his interest & knowledge of the stock market!
More importantly he was a VERY KIND DUDE❤️🤘thank you for taking the time, it was appreciated 🍀

Is anyone actively working on Google Maps?
I feel like the core UX hasn't improved in the last 10 years.
Not even speaking about how they are currently falling behind Apple Maps, but simple basics.
Simple example that makes it feel like they aren't heavy users of their own product:
If i search something – why show me ALL my bookmarks in the result? This has been like this for 10+ years now

@altcap The time should be: the moment the sun is at the highest point of the day, it is 12.00
Given a bit of location/timezone pragmatism the ‘correct time’ at a certain location should aim to approximate that statistic. Winter time/summer time is therefore rather bogus.
English

@Mike10947310 It is now at the same level as ‘21 if one accounts for inflation (uscpi). Its not great given the tech and productivity boom, but clearly not all that bad either.
Even the nasdaq100 is only ~25% higher than ‘21 top in real terms.

Yes, it's been a banner year for the largest capitalized companies. But look at $RSP (equal weighted SPY) LTM. It's pretty reasonable.
The fascinating scenario is companies in boring industries like trucking, e.g. $CHRW, start seeing real AI benefits, like those guys have (+20% today on earnings). If that happens, there's a lot of room for capital to flow into these names. I think everyone is pretty aware of the AI = railroads narrative, wherein there are many beneficiaries who capture a lot more economics than railroad companies... but with $CHRW type moves, we might be seeing it start.
