to me aziracrow already had the trope “i will find you in every lifetime/universe” because they found each other as angels. they found each other in the garden of eden. they found each other through 6000 years again and again no matter what heaven, hell or earth threw at them.

if you found the love of your life and you know it’s the very last moment you’ll ever have with them after thousands of years of restraint, wouldn’t you kiss and hold them? wouldn’t it be the most HUMAN thing to take one last kiss before losing each other forever?

"i want a real universe" / "nothing lasts forever" kind of sadness

i was so expecting at least a hug in that scene and then they vanishing while holding each other, which in that context would've made a lot of sense

the problem isn't that crowley chose humanity!! it's that they framed it as humanity VS them, when it was always humanity AND them. they could've created the godless universe, and the 'price to pay' would've been for them to become human instead of erasure, same ending but better
