Sooo... if you make an action-focused RE, it's a "bad game" (RE5, RE6), buf if you make an action-focused RE with a few hours of sneaking and being chased by big enemies in the dark, it's a masterpiece (Requiem)?

@PuppyPiers69 I don't understand it either. I think it's not really the action vs horror question that makes people like/dislike it. Maybe they will just say they don't like it because their favourite character isn't in it, but they will blame the "action" or something.

@lanimaIu Exactly, I was into the lore and characters, which sadly hasn't done it for me in the last decade or so. It's just INTERESTING seeing the same crowd who hailed 7 as the series' salvation cuz "action RE = bad", celebrate the return of action mechanics in the next games lol.

@foxfornaught Yeah, I feet that. I've never replayed Village either and I don't really see a reason to replay Requiem. 😢

@lanimaIu That length is concerning to me too tbh. It just feels short too if that makes sense. Like, once I play this through i won’t have the desire to play it again.

@PuppyPiers69 I don't really care whether it's horror or action, tbh, all of this seems so random to me. I just want to see the old characters and not someone new every time. And I don't want to pay 80€ for a game that is less than 10hrs, I'm so pissed about this price vs length ratio.

@lanimaIu I mean the hypocrisy was already obvious, the fanbase went from celebrating "back to the horror roots of 7 and 8" to creaming themselves over stopping chainsaws with a knife and all other over the top action mechanics in re4make. It has always been like this so not surprised lol

@rosenregenART Nice! Ich bin immer nicht so der Achievement-Spieler, ich würd etwas nur für Story mehrmals spielen oder wenn's als Coop mega Spaß macht. Aber ich freu mich auf nen DLC. 👏

@rosenregenART Ich fand's voll in Ordnung, aber Leons Abschnitt war meiner Meinung nach extrem actionreich, was ich nicht schlimm find. Aber andere RE-Teile, die ich sehr mag, sind angeblich schlechte Spiele, weil sie zu actionreich sind. :/

@foxfornaught I don't think that Capcom will stop producing games with Chris so my inspiration will be back, as always. There have been long breaks in the past and I always came back to Nivanfield.
