@7o_hbynno @MidnightCastle_ I mean as an avid rhythm gamer $5 for 9(I think that was the amount?) songs isn’t horrible or anything, but I don’t know how frequently I’d personally be willing to spend that. Hence why I think they should continue releasing free songs as well.

@lapafaitdotcom @MidnightCastle_ The rhythm gamers are certainly going to spend on packs, I mean because the charting of the songs is actually good, comparable to other rhythm games like DJMAX. That's why I also think that the price is reasonable even if their songs were original tracks.

I find it kinda crazy people are defending this so vehemently in the replies… Nikke is F2P with gacha, and this is a MINI game mode. PJSekai, Bandori, and other F2P gacha&rhythm games all have a huge selection of songs for their rhythm game, and it’s the main content.

@MidnightCastle_ Makes sense. So far it’s been fun and a rhythm game is a great inclusion, but idk how feasible it is long term. I doubt too many are going to spend $5 consistently on packs. I think if they continue to release free songs alongside the packs, it’ll even out well.

@lapafaitdotcom It’s to off set the cost to pay for whoever they outsource it to make the boards and the like. Only reason we didn’t pay during the event for what we have so far is no doubt because they paid for it with their Anniversary budget

I was expecting paid packs anyhow, so don’t see this as me being outraged or shocked, more so comparing other rhythm games business models to NIKKE’s rhythm game.

It would be a different case if NIKKE was paying for the licenses like a paid game such as Muse Dash that has packs, or F2P with packs like Arcaea. However NIKKE’s songs here are all original. That and all previously mentioned games have a large selection of base songs.
