Why do the Chinese even own British Steel? No sane individual would hand over a critical part of the UK’s production ability to a foreign power.
We did it because British governments for the last 30 years have pursued Global trade without considering the consequences.
From steel, to food, to energy we are now vulnerable.
We must onshore all these activities.
A way to protect our producers is to impose tariffs on imports.
Trump is not launching a global trade war, he is rebalancing trade between foreign powers and the US.
Instead of bleating, our govt should take a leaf out of his book and establish policies for British production.
Put first the UK, not producers in China and Germany
❗️WATCH❗️
RUPERT LOWE TOLD NIGEL FARAGE, IN FRONT OF OTHER REFORM PARTY OFFICIALS THAT: "HE WANTED TO BE PRIME MINISTER & THAT HE WOULD DESTROY ANYONE WHO GETS IN HIS WAY!!"
THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A TEAM PLAYER & IS DISRESPECTFUL TO NIGEL WHO FORMED THE REFORM UK PARTY.
The US had no option but to suspend arms support to Ukraine. Not to have done so would have been an acceptance of Zelensky’s opposition to a peace deal.
If Zelensky sues for peace, military support would no doubt be reinstated.
In the meantime, Ukraine is in a precarious position. Russia will exploit this opportunity.
Zelensky needs quickly to come to the table.
Irish MEP Lynn Boylan has said she will be following up with the Taoiseach and EU Commissioner Michael McGrath about how she was refused entry to Israel and put on a return flight breakingnews.ie/ireland/irish-…
As Leader of Sinn Féin I have made the decision not to attend the event in the White House this year as a principled stance against the threat of mass expulsion of the Palestinian people from Gaza.
Zelenskyy canceled elections, banned opposition parties, jailed critics, and shut down media he didn’t like but sure, let’s pretend he’s a beacon of democracy.
If he can do all of those things and you still don’t see him as a dictator I don’t know how you can ask the public to expect any different from you after this post and the history of your party.
Trump is right to call this out.
The Ukraine war has been a money pit, draining Western taxpayers while Zelenskyy plays dictator with endless blank checks.
And now, the Tories want to lecture us on leadership while they’ve spent years slashing our own military?
If you were serious about defense, you’d stop sending billions abroad and start rebuilding Britain’s forces instead.
Enough with the performative grandstanding.
President Zelenskyy is not a dictator. He is the democratically elected leader of Ukraine who bravely stood up to Putin’s illegal invasion. Under my leadership, and under successive Conservative Prime Ministers, we have and always will stand with Ukraine.
President Trump is right that Europe needs to pull its weight - and that includes the UK. We need to get serious. The PM will have my support to increase defence spending - there is a fully funded plan to get to 2.5% sitting on his desk. That should be the bare minimum. Starmer should get on with it, get on a plane to Washington and show some leadership. We cannot afford to get this wrong.
Today should always be a day of celebration - the anniversary of our departure from the EU. While we have not yet taken full advantage of all the opportunities, Brexit still gives hope for the future. To find out why, read or listen to my article this week: letters.jacobreesmogg.com/p/the-fifth-an…
Another anniversary, yet still Brexit has not been properly delivered.
The time has come to let those of us who started Brexit in 2016 finish the job.
Reform stands ready to do just that in 2029.

Last night, at the first Clacton Business Surgery, I spoke with business owners about the challenges they face and opportunities to boost the local economy.
To the brits today watching the Americans with envy as they welcome trump back to the white house
Remember, if we want a PM with common sense back - we have to campaign for it
And it starts with our councils and our mayoralties
So get out there @reformparty_uk
Cowardly @Keir_Starmer has repeated his lies about me in the House of Commons Chamber where he is shielded from my lawyer's "cease and desist" letter by Parliamentary Privilege.
He needs to look closer to home to see who's collapsing the British economy.
