Our Heritage Pasturelands project in the Mendips Hills NNR began this month with the first 100 hedgerow trees planted - we aim to restore 20 hectares, creating a diverse habitat for wildlife. Thank you to Mendip Hills Farming in Protected Landscapes for supporting this project.

It’s #AppleDay and on the Holnicote Estate we've been working on a project to grow West Country heritage apple trees in our new tree nursery. In February 60 trees were grafted and are growing well. Recently nine varieties of apple tree were planted against the old walls.

The heavy rainfall on Exmoor last week showed what our Stage Zero river restoration project can do. The new wetland held water in the landscape, helping to prevent flooding nearby, and the downpours increased the area of this amazing new habitat. #WorldRiversDay

We are so excited to say that our pioneering Stage Zero river restoration project on the Holnicote Estate has been completed 🎉 In just a few weeks, a new wetland habitat is beginning to thrive and we can’t wait to see what happens during the coming months and years.
